Woman Stabs Brother With Dagger After He Ate Her Dumplings

In white people do the darnedest things news, a Florida woman is being charged with aggravated assault after threatening to stab her brother after he admitted to finishing an order of her dumplings.The argument over the dumplings started inside the house and carried over into the yard, where several other family members were.

Rounds carried a large dagger outside and hurled profanities and threats at the man, police records show. Then she stabbed the front right portion of a gray pickup where the man’s girlfriend was sitting before authorities were reportedly called.

She was arrested and released on $1500 bond.

“Being Mary Jane” Returns To BET Tuesday

Dave East is definitely coming up! The rapper has a guest role on the new season of “Being Mary Jane.”

Mary Jane Paul (Gabrielle Union) kicks off season 4 with a new city (NYC) and a new job at one of the top morning shows in the nation, “Great Day USA.” One of her first assignments on the job is to interview rapper Dave East who plays himself and even gives a little performance of his song “KD” from 2015’s Hate Me Now.

In season four, when Kara (Lisa Vidal) helps her land a gig as a correspondent on Great Day USA, a national morning news show in New York City, Mary Jane Paul makes the move to achieve her lifetime career goal of becoming a national lead anchor. At Great Day, Mary Jane meets her idol, veteran lead anchor Ronda Sales (Valarie Pettiford), and realizes that working closely with your heroes isn’t all it’s cracked up to be. Things are further complicated when her old nemesis, Justin Talbot (Michael Ealy), appears as a new producer. Along with the new job and city, Mary Jane resolves to start fresh in every way possible, including her love life. She quickly falls for Lee Truitt (Chiké Okonkwo), a successful stand-up comedian from the UK who tests Mary Jane’s preconceived notions about what (or who) she needs in her life. Back in Atlanta, the Patterson’s deal with the fallout from Niecy’s (Raven Goodwin) run-in with the police. With Mary Jane in New York, they grow closer as they realize their new roles within the family and do what they can to step up to the plate for one another.

Episode 401 is titled “Getting Nekkid.”

The highly-anticipated fourth season of Being Mary Jane will premiere Tuesday, January 10 at 9pm ET on BET.

After spending over two-weeks in the hospital for Lupus complications and undergoing 5 blood transfusions Nick Cannon was cleared to go home. Once he was released, Nick went straight from the hospital to the studio to vent his frustrations. Drake And Jennifer Lopez Aren’t Faking It For The Cameras

DrizzLo have been laying it on pretty thick this week, and their PDA levels are bound to skyrocket tonight since they’ll be spending New Year’s Eve together in Las Vegas.

From the start the romance has smelled suspiciously like a publicity stunt, but insiders claim the pairing is very real.

A source tells E! News exclusively that this budding romance is 100 percent legit, and not a professional ploy to promote any type of business.

The insider adds that J.Lo is enjoying her time with Drizzy as a friend and companion, but isn’t considering him as a potential serious boyfriend at this stage of the game. “She’s having fun,” the source tells us.

Especially since the insider also believes that Lopez’s ex Casper Smart isn’t entirely out of the picture.

“I think she and Casper will get back together,” the source adds, confirming that although J.Lo and Smart are no longer speaking as frequently as they once were, the lines of communication are still open.

“He’s a great guy and she’s knows it. They just need a break right now.”

However, a separate source tells E! News the former couple likely won’t reconcile.

Interesting. Do you really think Jennifer will go back to Casper after Drake? And if you were Casper would you want her back after Drake? Also, we agree that there is a bit of a double standard at play here but is there anything wrong with Jennifer Lopez flaunting what seems to be a fling? After all, her kids are bound to be teased over it. And we hate to bring up her dating history but… is this notch in her belt only raising her profile or lowering it?

A Married Japanese Couple Speaks To Each Other For The First Time In 20 Years

Relationships can be hard. Being hurt by someone you love can be devastating. Some folks handle it better than others. EVERYONE handles it better than Otou Yumi, an angry husband who hasn’t uttered a single word to his wife, Katayama Yumi, in 20 years!

Colin Kaepernick Voted The Winner Of The Len Eshmont Award For Courage

It’s been one helluva NFL season for Colin Kaepernick. His decision to kneel for the National Anthem will be discussed for years to come as sports pundits and journalists debate and editorialize the role athletes play in the larger society.

Kaep has taken all the vitriol, criticism and hate right on the chin and continued to stand tall (unlike Ronda Rousey) against the social injustices that he feels so passionately about.

This courage lead Colin’s 49er’s teammates to vote him this year’s winner of the Len Eshmont Award. ESPN breaks down exactly what that honor represents:

When the 49ers announced their team awards Friday afternoon, Kaepernick was the recipient of the Len Eshmont Award, given to the 49er who “best exemplifies the inspirational and courageous play of Len Eshmont, an original member of the 1946 49ers team.” The award, which was established after Eshmont died in 1957, is considered the most prestigious honor the players vote on.

Kaepernick spoke on having the support of his teammates, specifically Eric Reid and Eli Harold, who both joined him in kneeling during the anthem.

“It’s very impactful, and I think they are people who have very strong character,” Kaepernick said. “And to have the ability to really recognize what’s going on, how it not only affects them, but it affects their families and affects other people that look like them, is something that’s very powerful — and I’m very happy to have teammates like that, that have that type of character, that have those type of ethics and humanity.”

Congratulations to Kaep. We’re glad that despite the criticism from the crusties and ashies, his squad kept it 100 and put on for their brother-in-pads.

Starbucks Bans 37-Year-Old Man After He Asks Teen Barista For A Date

C’mon bruh. Like…seriously, GTFOHWTBS.

A report in NWCN tells of a 37-year-old weirdo Starbucks customer who had to be banned from the story after hitting on a 16-year-old employee.

“I was flirted with by a barista. For some reason she thought I was funny. Said I was funny. So I gave her a note to see if she’d be interested in dinner,” said the man in a public Facebook post that has since gone viral, with almost 4,500 shares and almost 3,000 likes.

He said he went into the same Starbucks the next day and a Spokane Police officer told him he was banned from that Starbucks location. Apparently, Starbucks management thought something in the note was inappropriate enough to get the police involved.

“I know the female Starbucks barista was of legal age to date. I broke no laws. I merely took a chance with my heart. I’m tired of hearing the word “creep” as any black person or gay person is tired of hearing certain words. I have a whole webpage dedicated to age gap love,” said the man.

Did he just compared his shunned creepazoid behavior to being discriminated against like blacks and gays?! SMFH.

A Starbucks spokesperson vouched for how store and police chose to handle the R. Kelly-esque coffee drinker:

“We have no tolerance for any such inappropriate behavior or harassment, and we will continue to support our store partners and local authorities investigating the situation.”

This guy is looney-tunes. It would be one thing if he tried to holla at the girl thinking she was older and then realized he made a mistake. But he actually trying to justify this pervy s#!t!

Might be time to lay off the caffeine…AND the children!

Perry is going so far as to call it racism, in a recent interview:

“That’s totally reverse racism, because it was coming from African-American people,” said Perry, speaking with The Associated Press in his office at Tyler Perry Studios in Atlanta.

“I don’t know if it was because they thought I should only be giving jobs to black people. Well, I think that’s ridiculous. If you look at the hundreds of black people I’ve given jobs to and even the ones I’ve made millionaires, people of color, I just think it’s unfair.”

Perry credits his experiences traveling and meeting people from different cultures for keeping him in perspective:

“I’m just finding out more as I travel the country and world, the more I meet people, we’re all the same,” he said. “We all got the same dramas. So I’m not seeing color as much as I did anymore in the sense of our stories. Our stories are so similar.”

He actually makes plenty of sense to us with this comment…

The second half of the first season of Perry’s newest drama — “Too Close to Home” — returns to TLC on Jan. 4.

It’s the first scripted series for the network and for those unfamiliar it involves the story of a young woman forced to leave DC after a political scandal (she had an affair with the President of the United States). The show’s lead Anna heads home to the Alabama trailer park she grew up in.

Turns out that was familiar territory for Perry, who once lived in a similar community with relatives in Louisiana.

“I know that world very well,” said Perry. “The same stories I’m relating to and telling, it could be anyone black or white. I’m not trying to the shine a light on a certain stereotype or certain people in a trailer park. It’s my own experiences from having spent time and sleeping there.”
