The Reaction This Woman Had To Racism Is Unbelievable

What would you do if you found out the waitress who you’d just given a great tip and had a great dining experience with — went on social media calling you and your friends the N word? We can’t say praying for the waitress would be anywhere on our list. But that’s exactly how one Tennessee woman responded.

This weekend a waitress at Cheddar’s in Murfreesboro, TN uploaded a snapchat complaining about having a section full of n-words to serve while being hungover.

One of her victims took to Twitter and Facebook to describe her experience and response to what happened.

Since posting the message, Chelsea has been deluged with praise on Twitter, with some people even likening her behavior to Michelle Obama’s “When they go low, we go high” messaging.

We agree that her response is definitely to be applauded.

In the meantime the waitress has been fired.

According to 101.1 reports the following statement has been released from the owner/operator of the Cheddar’s in Murfreesboro:

“We, ourselves, were shocked and offended after learning one of our servers had posted comments on social media that were hurtful and derogatory. This type of behavior will never be tolerated in our restaurants. The server was immediately suspended and ultimately terminated after our internal investigation.”

Toya Wright Officially Files For Divorce From Memphitz

No more hall-passes for Memphitz….

We recently reported that Toya Wright was ready to move on from her marriage to Memphitz.

The separated “Marriage Bootcamp” star recently sat down with Big Tigger and confirmed that while she went on the WE TV to show to save her union;

I did it so we could make things work. At least take the counseling with Jim and Elizabeth… I can honestly say after filming this show, I learned a whole lot about myself. I learned about Memph and I. We weren’t as compatible as I thought we were. It was crazy.”

it’s ultimately too late and a divorce is imminent.

“We’re not together, that’s no secret. We are getting a divorce.”

According to The Jasmine Brand, Toya has finally pulled the trigger and filed for divorce from her hall-pass having hubby after only 5 years of marriage.

According to the divorce filed on July 8th, Toya and Mickey were married on June 18th, 2011 – which was even filmed for a BET special. They are currently separated.

Toya lists the reason for the divorce is due to the marriage being irretrievably broken and there is no hope of reconciliation.

The two signed a prenuptial agreement that covers the equitable division of their property and assets. The reality star is seeking to be awarded her personal property and Mickey can have his too.

She adds that the law states Mickey cannot transfer or sell any of his property during a divorce. Toya insists that he comply with this, something she apparently fears he will do. Toya is seeking to have the court officially grant her divorce and for Mickey to pay her attorney fees.

The city of Baltimore and the family of Freddie Gray was once more reminded that justice might never visit the police officers that were implicated in his death. After news this morning that charges against the three remaining officers in the case were dropped, Twitter reacted swiftly as expected. This morning, Baltimore State’s Attorney Marilyn Mosby spoke at Freddie Gray’s mural nestled in the city, lashing out against the justice system and its failure to convict all six of the officers involved in the 25-year-old’s curious death. Although Gray’s death was ruled a homicide, all of the serious charges faced by officers have been effectively dodged and leaves new questions to be asked about the justice system in the city…

Mary J. Blige Divorcing Her Husband

Mary J. Blige and her husband of 12 years are officially no more. The songstress has officially filed for divorce from Kendu Issacs citing “irreconcilable differences.”

TMZ reports:

Mary J. Blige just pulled the plug on her marriage to her husband/manager … filing for divorce to end her 12 year marriage, TMZ has learned.

Blige just filed docs seeking to end her union from Martin “Kendu” Isaacs — who she married back in 2003. Blige lists the date of separation as “to be determined” — unclear why.

Blige cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split. They couple has no children together.

There is one interesting note … Blige is asking the judge to block Isaacs’ ability to get spousal support. The document does not say if there is a prenup.

We reached out to Blige and Isaacs — so far, no word back.

The couple was last spotted together at the Critics Choice Awards in January.

Stalker Arrested For Trying To Blow Up Phaedra Park’s Atlanta Law Office

Who would want to bomb Phaedra Park’s Atlanta law office? According to TMZ, a man walked into the wrong building claiming he had a bomb strapped to his leg looking for the RHOA star:

Police evacuated the office building the man walked into on Peachtree Road and responded to the scene. According to witnesses he walked in demanding to see Phaedra and said, “I’m not leaving. I’ve got a bomb.”

The ‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’ star — an entertainment lawyer — does have an office on Peachtree, but it’s a few buildings down from the one the man entered.

Police arrested a suspect. It’s not clear if he really did have a bomb.

Thankfully, Phaedra is in Philly for the Democratic National Convention and missed the craziness back in Atlanta!

Richard Sherman Says #AllLivesMatter Because #BlackLivesMatter Wants To Kill Police

At one point, Richard Sherman was a man that thousands, if not millions, of black people rushed to defend when he was called all types of “n***ers” and “thugs” for his raucous and emotional comments in a post-game interview.

Yesterday, that pedestal crumbled like the Seahawks potential Superbowl XLIX comeback.

In an interview with TheUndefeated, Sherman went full-blown #AllLivesMatter on us and we’re not sure if we’ll ever look at him the same.

What is your opinion of the Black Lives Matter movement?

It’s hard to formulate an opinion and generalize because they have several different messages. Some of them are peaceful and understandable and some of them are very radical and hard to support. Any time you see people who are saying, ‘Black Lives Matter,’ and then saying it’s time to kill police, then it is difficult to stand behind that logic. They are generalizing police just like they are asking police not to generalize us. It is very hypocritical. So, in that respect, I find it difficult to fully support that movement.

I stand by what I said that All Lives Matter and that we are human beings. And speaking to police, I want African-Americans and everybody else treated decently. I want them treated like human beings. And I also want the police treated like human beings. I don’t want police officers just getting knocked off in the street who haven’t done anything wrong.

Those are innocent lives.

Brotha Sherman, if you think that #BlackLivesMatter is about killing police, then you have been grossly misinformed (probably by white people like Bill O’Reilly).

It’s pretty disappointing that an educated black man like Richard Sherman doesn’t seem to grasp the TRUE purpose of the movement.

Maryland Woman Explains Why She Poured Grits On Her Husband

Last year we reported a Maryland woman was arrested last year and accused of pouring hot grits on her husband while he slept and then beat him senseless with a baseball bat. A year later, she claims everyone got the story incorrect according to FOX 5 DC:

These days, Alexis Staton is trying to start over. She was found not guilty after being charged with second-degree assault and reckless endangerment.

“He wasn’t asleep and it wasn’t done deliberately,” she told FOX 5. “There was a restraining order in place. My husband and I have a long history of violence.”

Staton said she was defending herself in a physical altercation with her husband at the time. Her husband, who was covered with burns and bloodied, reportedly flagged down a stranger who called 911.

Staton was in custody ten hours before being released and ultimately cleared on all charges.

“I lost my job and I try not to think about that because I think about I’m blessed that I was able to make it through regardless,” said Staton. “Domestic violence is real. People sometimes think that you have to be physically abused for it to be considered domestic violence. But it’s not. You have verbal, emotional, financial and my husband had me in all categories.”

T.I. Donates $35,000 To Entrepreneurship Programs Helping Minority Teens

T.I has donated $35K to educational entrepreneurship programs helping inner-city teens grow within their communities according to Essence Magazine reports:

T.I.’s TIDAL x Money Talk & Education challenge has paid off in a huge and inspiring way for youth across the globe.

The initiative, which was first announced in May, encouraged young people to submit proposals detailing their plans to promote educational awareness within their communities through on and offline education-based fundraising efforts.

The contest ran from May 4 through June 15. According to a press release from TIDAL, 86 participants got involved for their chance to win the challenge and T.I. will now keep his promise by matching the $35,000 in funds raised by the six finalists selected. T.I.’s $35K combined with the $46K+ that was raised by all 86 challenge participants brings the total amount donated through the TIDAL x Money Talk Education Challenge to more than $81,000.

Shaw Inspires “Teen-Preneurs”- In-school, after school, weekend and summer mentoring and leadership program for youth ages 11-25; funds raised will help the program expand to Baltimore and Charleston.

The Musicianship’s 2016 Summer Camp – Summer camp that provides music lessons for young people; funds will be used to buy instruments, supplies, support music instructors, and provide a college scholarship.

Generation You Employed – Program that helps the unemployed youth with skills and job readiness in five countries (Kenya, India, Spain, Mexico and the United States); they plan to train one million unemployed young people and place them in jobs by 2020; funds raised will go towards expanding into Chicago, Los Angeles and New York City.
