You Expect Justice? Judge To Announce Verdict In Freddie Gray Case Against High-Ranking Baltimore Cop
Highest-Ranking Baltimore Cop In Freddie Gray Case To Be Handed Verdict Today
ABCNews is reporting that a judge will put forth a verdict on the highest ranking Baltimore police officer who is accused of Freddie Gray’s death
Rice, 42, is charged with involuntary manslaughter, reckless endangerment and misconduct in office for his role in Gray’s arrest and death last year.
Judge Barry Williams is deciding his fate because Rice opted for a bench trial, rather than a jury trial.
Rice is the fourth officer to stand trial. Williams previously acquitted Officers Edward Nero and Caesar Goodson Jr. of all charges. The case against Officer William Porter ended in a mistrial in December. He is scheduled to be retried in September. Officer Garrett Miller will go before a judge on July 27, and Sgt. Alicia White’s proceeding begins October 13.
Prosecutors charged that Rice showed reckless disregard for Gray when he failed to secure him with a seat belt after he helped load Gray into the police van.
To gain a conviction on the charge of involuntary manslaughter, prosecutors have to prove that Rice acted in a grossly negligent manner and was aware of the risks to Gray but disregarded them.
Sadly, we don’t expect a lick of justice to be read by Judge Barry Williams this morning because ‘Merica.

Broncos Baller And Chicken Farmer Von Miller Signs Historic $114.5 Million Deal
Von Miller is now one of the highest paid players in professional football and the only chicken farmer according to the NFL:
In the quiet days leading up to the NFL’s deadline for franchise-tagged players to sign a long-term deal, a sometimes contentious battle between Miller and the Broncos’ front office went dark as both sides dug in to craft the deal that would pay Miller more in guaranteed money than team president John Elway made over a 16-year career.
NFL Media’s Rand Getlin first reported Miller agreeing to a six-year contract with the Broncos on Friday, according to a source with knowledge of the deal. NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport added the deal is worth $114.5 million and it includes $70 million in guarantees by March 2018, surpassing the $59.955 million guaranteed that Dolphins defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh received in March 2015. Rapoport also reported $42 million of the deal is fully guaranteed, including a $23 million signing bonus, according to a source who has seen the deal.
The Broncos later confirmed the signing.
“This is something I really wanted — to stay with the Denver Broncos,” Miller said in a statement released by the team. “I am so appreciative and grateful for this opportunity.”

According to TheDailyNews, things got downright terrifying on a German train and ISIS is allegedly a motivating force behind the attack…
An Afghan refugee who went on an axe rampage on a German train had only been living with his foster family for two weeks and may have been self radicalised after he was found to have made an ISIS flag.
The 17-year-old attacker was gunned down by armed police after fleeing the scene near the city of Wurzburg, 70 miles north of Nuremberg last night.
He shouted ‘Allahu Akbar’ during the incident and the terror group have claimed that he was an ‘Islamic State fighter’, making it the first ISIS attack in Germany.
As many as 19 passengers needed hospital treatment while two victims are fighting for their lives after being attacked with ‘cutting and stabbing weapons’.
An eyewitness said the train, which had been carrying around 25 people, looked ‘like a slaughterhouse’ after the attack, with blood covering the floor.

Police Departments Find It Difficult To Recruit African-Americans
Police departments all over the country are having a hard time recruiting and attaining African-Americans due to the perception of cops in AmeriKKKa according to CNN reports:
Potential recruits aren’t stepping up to apply for police jobs like they used to because of negative perceptions of law enforcement, he said.
“Your biggest recruiting tool is not going out to churches or job fairs or anything like that,” Aziz said. “Your biggest recruiter is a police officer in uniform who will say this is the best department … and you should come join it now.”
Proselytizing isn’t what it used to be.Aziz, chairman of the National Black Police Association, says it’s even harder to attract African-American recruits, who might already have a fraught relationship with police.
Nevertheless, the percentage of minority police officers working in departments across the country has nearly doubled in the last 30 years. Public perception of racial bias among law enforcement, however, seems to have only strengthened over time.
“People have a right to have a department that mirrors their community and some of the issues would be alleviated, but it’s not a panacea to all the problems that happen,” Aziz said. “As you saw from Ferguson, having a diverse police force can reduce some of the challenges and some of the barriers that exist between law enforcement and communities.”
Community policing — building close ties between officers and the communities they serve — is the answer for Camden, New Jersey, police Chief Scott Thomson.

Remember when we told you about those pesky rumors that Tamar Braxton stepped out on Vince with a “high profile” man???
Tamar and Vince’s marriage is in jeopardy — to say the least.
Sources exclusively tell lovebscott.com that the reason for the split is because Tamar’s been cheating on her husband with another high-profile man for a while. Vince had been suspicious of his wife’s infidelity for quite some time and hired a private detective to find out all the details — and he found out EVERYTHING.
We hear the Vince confronted Tamar and they had BIG blowout in front of two other people. It got so heated that they ended up cutting everyone in the room a nice little check to keep quiet.

“When God blesses people, there are always people who are going to try to tear them down,” Herbert tells ET.
A source close to the couple also tells ET that Braxton and Herbert “are doing fine and they are happier than ever,” and reports of a split are untrue.
