Family members say police opened fire on 57-year-old Bettie Jones after she simply answered the door for them.
Police were called on the 19-year-old for a domestic disturbance in Chicago’s west side area this morning when things went awry. Both Bettie Jones and Quintonio Legrier ended up with bullets in them, shot by police and dying in the hospital. Police involved have yet to comment on the incident.
Why would they open fire on an unarmed woman?? It’s terrible!

R.I.P: Gladys Knight And The Pips Member William Guest Passes At 74
The Pips Member William Guest Dies From Congestive Heart Failure
Sad news for the soul music community… William Guest, a member of Gladys Knight And The Pips has passed away at age 74.
According to AP reports:
Guest’s sister-in-law, Dhyana Ziegler, said he died Thursday in Detroit of congestive heart failure.
Guest performed throughout the lifespan of the Grammy-winning group from 1953 to 1989. He performed background vocals on hits such as “I Heard It Through the Grapevine” and “Midnight Train to Georgia.”
“My heart is broken, but I know his legacy will live on,” said Guest’s daughter, Monique Guest, in a statement.
Gladys Knight and the Pips were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1996 and the Apollo Hall of Fame in 2006.
After the group ended, Guest and another member, the late Edward Patten, formed a production company. Guest later served as CEO of Crew Records. He released his autobiography “Midnight Train From Georgia: A Pips Journey” in 2013 with Ziegler.
“I am so glad we finished the book, so his wonderful life and legacy will be celebrated throughout eternity,” Ziegler said. “I loved my brother so much.”

Bobby Daniels was a peace officer by trade – a private security guard employed at CNN’s headquarters in Atlanta. When he learned that his emotionally troubled 25-year-old son Bias had suffered a breakdown and was holding a fellow security guard at gunpoint in a mobile home part in Douglasville, Bobby raced to the scene. Using the skills of persuasion and patient de-escalation upon which a private peace officer must rely, Bobby persuaded his son to relinquish his handgun and place it on the hood of a car.
Just seconds later, Daniels was fatally shot – not by his mentally ill son, but by the sheriff’s deputies who had arrived on the scene.
In familiar fashion, law enforcement officials insist that the victim of this police shooting – at least the 960th to occur in 2015 – was to blame, and they have provided contradictory accounts as to how it happened.
“I think that he could have been trying to help the situation instead of hurting it, but when he pointed the gun at the officers, he was shot,” asserted Douglas County Sheriff Phil Miller in remarks to reports at the scene shortly after the December 21 incident.
A different official account provided by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation claims that as Bobby and Bias struggled over control of the gun, deputies attempted to incapacitate the younger man with a taser.
It’s amazing how each and every time the police murder kill a civilian there are wildly polarized versions of the events.

Male Prostitute Charged With Strangling To Death Philadelphia Psychiatrist In Hotel Room
A family is getting some closure today following the mysterious death of prominent Philadelphia psychiatrist Dr. Howard Baker. The 75-year-old married father-of-two was found in a hotel room on Monday, dead, naked and with a leather belt around his neck.

Manuel Baez, 27, is being charged with the murder of Dr. Howard Baker, 75, who was found killed inside his room at the Rodeway Inn on Monday afternoon, police said.
Baker, who was married with two adult sons, was found naked on the floor with a belt around his neck, the Associated Press reported.
Surveillance footage showed him leaving the room twice and returning with a different man each time. A man, believed to be Baez, was later seen leaving with Baker’s backpack and wallet.
Homicide captain James Clark told Philly.com on Thursday that Baez “gave a full confession.”
Apparently, Dr. Baker, who had an office nearby and specialized in “relationship problems” told his wife he was going to be in that area for the Eagles game.

What?! Donald Trump’s Poll Numbers May Be Better Than Previously Thought
Theory Suggests Donald Trump Poll Numbers Are Understated
Thanks to closeted racist voters too ashamed to admit they’re voting for big-mouthed bigot Donald Trump, there’s a new study that claims Trump’s poll numbers may be understated.
Apparently, the theory is known as the “Bradley effect,” named after Los Angeles Mayor Tom Bradley, a Black man, who, based on exit polls, had a sizeable lead and was projected to win California’s 1982 gubernatorial race against George Deukmejian, but ultimately lost.
Now a tech company is saying the same thing is happening with Donald Trump and his poll numbers.
According to Business Insider:
The study examined a mystery that has confounded polling analysts over the past few months: Why does Trump perform better in online-based surveys than polls that include live-telephone interviews?
The study posited that voters, when interviewed by pollsters via telephone, are reluctant to admit their support for a controversial candidate whose critics have painted him as racist. In self-administered online interviews, on the other hand, they will be more likely to admit their support. And that will more likely reflect their eventual decision in the privacy of a voting booth.
“Much work remains to better understand which types of polls are actually right in predicting Trump’s support levels, but a key implication of the study is that many national polls may be underestimating Trump’s support levels,” the study concluded.
If true, the results could indicate that Trump’s support in polls, which has risen to new heights over the past few weeks, is actually understated. Trump has climbed as high as 41% in a recent Monmouth survey of national Republican primary voters. On average, he has a 17-point lead over his closest Republican contender, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas).
Overall, the study found that Trump performs about six percentage points better in online surveys compared with those conducted by phone. In a sample of nearly 3,000 Republican voters, the Morning Consult study found that Trump garnered 38% support with online respondents, 36% with respondents who were robo-called, and 32% among live-interviewed voters.
