Will Smith Says He May Have To Run For President

Sounds like Will Smith is just a stumped as the rest of us by the outpouring of support for Donald Trump during this presidential race. With the presidential hopeful’s most recent commentary on Muslims and his proposed policy of banning them from the US altogether, Mr. Smith says he might just get forced to hop in and do something himself one of these days…

He’s a two-time Oscar nominee and a multiple Grammy winner. But Will Smith has insisted he feels there is still so much more for him to give, and the political arena is next on his list.

The 47-year-old has told CBS News that Donald Trump’s ‘crazy’ comments suggesting the U.S. should ban all Muslims from entering the country, may ‘force’ him to run for office.

Speaking to Tracy Smith for an interview on CBS Sunday Morning, the actor and musician explained:

‘There’s a thing that I’m supposed to be doing, there’s a person I want to be that I always saw a reflection in my grandmother’s eyes of what it is, but I can’t reach that thing. There’s so much more that I feel I have to offer that I can’t access in myself.’

When asked where he thinks his ambition might take him next, Will replied: ‘If people keep saying all the crazy kinds of stuff they’ve been saying on the news lately about walls and Muslims, they’re going to force me into the political arena.’

And the multi-talented star is aiming high, quipping: ‘I mean, I gotta be the president. Come on! What else would I run for?’

We’re sure he’s being facetious, but honestly, if it were between Trump and Smith, our vote is going for Will! Hell, DJ Jazzy Jeff could be VP…

Martin Shkreli Says He’s Willing To Pay For Bobby Shmurda’s Bail And Legal Defense

These days it appears that white people are doing everything they possibly can to sour black folks on their participation in the hip-hop culture. From Kreayshawn, to Iggy Azalea, to the “culture vulture” executives who treat our art like s#!t, to the piss-poor journalists who are looking to make a spectacle of a globally revered movement that has spanned more than 3 decades.

In today’s edition of white folks who don’t give a f***, we have an insufferable pharmaceutical dope dealer named Martin Shkreli. If that name sounds vaguely familiar, it’s because he is the one who spent $2 million for the super-duper, mystical, magical, Wu-Tang album “Once Upon A Time In Shaolin”.

According to an interview Shkreli did with HipHopDX, he is now ready to take on a new exciting plunge into hip-hop, by paying Bobby Shmurda’s $2 million bail.

But of course, if Bobby wants to be as free as his gravity-defying hate, he’ll have to pay a price and we’re not talkin’ about $2 million…

Martin Shkreli: We’re actually in discussion to try to bail out Bobby Shmurda. Forget whether you think he’s guilty or not, the guy should not be sitting in jail right now. It’s insane. He’s from Brooklyn. I’m from Brooklyn. He deserves a fair trial. He deserves good lawyers. He doesn’t have good lawyers. His label is hanging him out to dry and so I have a conference call tomorrow morning with them (December 15). I’ll show up with $2 million bail money no fucking problem. He’s not going to flee the country. I’m not going to lose anything. I’m going to try to make that happen. That’s one thing I’m working on.

HipHopDX: Where did that come from? I’m sure you’re familiar with the story, but are you a fan?

Martin Shkreli: I’m a fan and I’m a business man. I’m not going to do this for free. [Laughs] He’s going to have to do something for me. I don’t know what that’s going to look like yet. He’s going to owe me one, obviously. I’d like to pay for his legal defense as well. I’m a big fan but also I’m an opportunist. You know that. I see an opportunity here. He’s a talented guy. Every concert I go to, people yell “Free Shmurda.” He reminds me of me, quite frankly. The guy’s totally irreverent. He doesn’t give a damn what people think. Totally irreverent. Totally I don’t give a fuck. I love him. I just love that style. He’s from not far from where I’m from in Brooklyn. I’d love to help him out. I wish someone would have helped me out when I needed help. He doesn’t have much money, I know that. He’s definitely hurting for money. He needs a bailout, basically. I’d like to help him out. No big promises, but I’ll see what I can do. Like I said, if I can post the $2 million, I’d do it tomorrow. I’m working on it and hopefully we’ll see him free soon.

DX: You’re unabashedly an opportunist, you said it. Is part of this because it’s potentially a perceived olive branch to the Hip Hop community. Hip Hop isn’t really feeling you right now.

Martin Shkreli: It’s a mix. Look, the guy’s going to have to record for me if he comes out. I’ll just come out and say it. If I’m gonna post his bail, pay for his trial, get him a “Not Guilty” verdict… With the right lawyer it’s just a matter of money. I see opportunity. The guy’s going to be more popular when he’s out. The guy probably didn’t do shit. He was trying to turn to a new chapter in his life and the old shit is coming up and hurting him. He’s New York’s best chance for rap since 50 Cent. It’s not a lot of money for me. Spend a couple million on his defense, a couple million on bail and I’ll get the bail money back real quick. So a million or two for his defense, which is probably $4 million in total, I’m willing to put towards his defense. I don’t do olive branches. I’m doing something for him, the same way I felt I was doing something for the Wu-Tang Clan. And I’m doing something for me. If people benefit from that, listeners, then that’s great, but that’s not my primary concern. First is him. Second is me. Third is everyone else. Everyone wins. It’s a win-win-win. The only loser is the fucking FEDs that want to see a fucking kid sit in jail for no reason because his lawyers can’t fucking get his act together. That’s what’s going on with that.

There’s just something very…Donald Trump-y about how Martin is talking about Bobby. It reeks of…ownership. Entitlement. He can say he’s doing this to help Bobby out, and while he is VERY open about being an oppotunist, we just can’t believe this guy is totally on the up-and-up.

This is the same apathetic jerk who decided that he would raise the price of an AIDS medication called Daraprim from $13.50 per pill to $750 each. Is he someone who’s intentions you can really trust?

Memphitz Involved In L.A. Police Raid

Toya Wright’s hall pass having husband apparently got into a little trouble this morning and had guns drawn on him by police.

Memphitz reportedly underwent a police raid after his landlord told authorities that he threatened his life.

Reality star and hip-hop producer Memphitz was at the center of a police raid after his landlord claimed his famous tenant threatened to shoot him.

It happened in West Hollywood late Wednesday morning, after Memphitz and the landlord got in a heated argument over living conditions in the building.

The landlord called 911, claiming Memphitz left and said he would come back with a gun and take care of business.

L.A. County Sheriff’s deputies came roaring over and went to Memphitz’s door, guns drawn, but he wasn’t there.

Memphitz tells TMZ, he never threatened his landlord, but it’s true they got in a screaming match over intolerable noise and partying.

We’re told deputies have not yet spoken with Memphitz and we don’t know if the landlord will pursue charges.

Memphitz says for him, the party’s over … he’s moving out.

Millionaire Cleared Of Rape After “Tripping And Penetrating” Teen

A rich property developer who may have gotten away with a heinous crime is making international headlines.

Ehsan Abdulaziz of London, was reently celared of rape charges after he told prosecutors that he might have “fallen and penetrated” a teenager he took back to his home after a night of drinking.

The Daily Mail reports:

A Saudi millionaire has been cleared of raping a teenager after claiming he might have accidentally penetrated the 18-year-old when he tripped and fell.

Property developer Ehsan Abdulaziz, 46, was accused of forcing himself on the young woman as she slept off a night of drinking on the sofa in his plush flat in Maida Vale, west London.

He had already had sex with her 24-year-old friend and said he might have fallen on top of the teenager while his penis was poking out the top of his underwear..

The women met Mr Abdulaziz in the exclusive Cirque le Soir nightclub in the West End on 7 August last year.

Mr Abdulaziz, who had known the 24-year-old for around seven months, invited the friends to join him at his private £1,000-a-night table and bought both women a round of drinks.

He later offered them a ride home in his Aston Martin.

He had paid £1,000 for a private table in the club, and had bought both the girls a round of drinks.

The three went back to his apartment, where he offered them vodka before taking the 24-year-old into the bedroom for sex.

The teenager claimed she woke in the early hours of the morning to find Mr Abdulaziz on top of her, forcing himself inside her.

When Mr Abdulaziz was arrested, the court was told he had responded: ‘She’ll have to prove it.’

N.Y. Judge Put Warrant Out For Rapper After He Missed Court

DMX said his warrant for a no-show at a child support hearing was down to a mix up between his lawyers and the court.

BOSSIP broke the story earlier this week that a Westchester County Supreme Court judge put a warrant out for the rapper’s arrest after he didn’t turn up to a court date on back child support with ex-wife, Tashera Simmons.

But DMX believed his lawyers successfully postponed the Dec. 14 hearing because of his longstanding “DMXmas” performance in Las Vegas the same day.
“I did everything I was supposed to do, it wasn’t my fault,” DMX said, according to his Uncle Nell, who is travelling with the rapper as he performs.

Uncle Nell said DMX – who has been in and out of jail over the last few years – had turned his professional life around, getting new management, paying off another child support judgment in upstate New York and making sure his court-ordered $5,000 a month in child support was paid to Tashera on time.
“He was doing so good for the last three months, building his rep back up,” Uncle Nell told BOSSIP. “He did the show, we went to bed and when we woke up there was a warrant.”

DMX – whose real name is Earl Simmons – is set to perform another show in Vegas on Thursday, and then will celebrate his birthday on Friday before heading to Utah for more shows. Then he’ll head back to New York, Uncle Nell said.

He said DMX isn’t worried about cops nabbing him on the warrant as he travels from state to state.
“We’re sure that the attorney is going to handle it,” Uncle Nell said. “They fumbled the ball, not us. We fulfilled our obligations.”

In a statement to BOSSIP, the rapper’s rep said the rapper was continuing to move forward in his career.
“We appreciate support from fans, promoters and our staff alike for knowing and trusting that business will go on as usual,” the statement read. “We look forward to great success, and plan to stay focused on accomplishing goals to achieve such greatness!”

DMX is due back in court on the warrant next month.

Tenured Professor Placed On Leave After Wearing Hijab

Political science professor Larycia Hawkins, who is a Christian, has been placed on leave by Wheaton College in Illinois after publicly wearing a hijab during the Christian season of Advent. According to the New York Daily News, Hawkins wished to support people of the Muslim faith during a time when anti-Muslim sentiments are on the rise. “I stand in religious solidarity with Muslims because they, like me, a Christian, are people of the book,” she wrote on Facebook last Thursday before adding that Muslims and Christians “worship the same god.” The Chicago Daily Herald reported that Hawkins [was placed] on leave Tuesday, which sparked a protest by students the following Wednesday. Singer’s New Album Out Dec. 18

Monica said her eighth studio album “Code Red” is her effort to “save R&B” music from the same old same old.

“Everything that Code Red is about embodies real R&B and real R&B soul,” Monica said. “So as I stand here at 35 versus 12 singing “Just One Of Them Days,” I recognize the importance of the kind of music that we made then, and I just want to restore it now so they have a combination of music to love, other than just the here and right now.”

The industry vet made the comments at a PYNK Magazine dinner in her honor Wednesday night in NYC, hosted Mielle Organics, Hair Candy Boutique, Celfie Cosmetics and Chic Chat TV. Monica, who looked sensational in an all white outfit, was in town with her NBA baller hubby Shannon Brown to promote the album. “The Boy Is Mine” singer promised that “Code Red” would put a new spin on the R&B of yesteryear.

“The first time I heard “Forever My Lady” by Jodeci, I remember I going to my eighth grade dance and that was playing,” the singer said. “These kids now need some timeless music as well. For me, I love music. I’m from Georgia and I like to turn up or whatever. But you need another side of what music can be.”

In secret baby news…

Kelis Gives Birth

After keeping her pregnancy fairly secret, Kelis has given birth.

Unbeknownst to the public the songstress and her “mystery man” welcomed a baby boy in November.

E! Online reports:

E! News has exclusively learned that the “Milkshake” singer welcomed a son in November. “Kelis has a healthy baby,” an insider tells us. Other details, including his name, have not been revealed just yet. The identity of the father also remains unknown. Kelis is “thrilled,” the insider adds.

We confirmed that the musical artist and recent cookbook author was expecting her second child back in August. “She is really excited about her pregnancy,” an insider shared with E! News at the time. “She has a great support system from her family and friends. She is in really amazing spirits.”

Kelis kept her pregnancy pretty private, but during a recent appearance at Los Angeles Women’s Expo in October, the celeb shared how motherhood has changed her. “It enhances you. I don’t know if it really changes you,” she explained. “I think it just enhances who you already are. It makes the things that you do make sense. You’re more poignant and more focused.”

Back in 2009, Kelis welcomed her first child, a baby boy named Knight, with now ex-husband Nas.

Kelis’ “secret baby daddy” is believed to be Mike Mora, her husband that she quietly wed last year.
