Kim Kardashian Announces Plans To Eat Her Placenta After Birth Of Saint West

According to E!Online Kim Kardashian has decided that she will once again eat her placenta after giving birth to her first son, Saint.

She announced her new diet on her app saying:

“So, I’m really not this holistic person or someone who would have ever considered eating my placenta. I actually thought Kourtney would have soooo done this, but I don’t think she did,” Kim wrote, although Kourtney Kardashian did decide to consume her placenta as well. “And when I say ‘eat my placenta,’ I mean that I’m having it freeze-dried and made into a pill form—not actually fry it like a steak and eat it (which some people do, BTW).”

But this won’t be the first time she’s consumed her own placenta. Kim did the same thing after giving birth to North West in order to help prevent any postpartum depression.

“I heard so many stories when I was pregnant with North of moms who never ate their placenta with their first baby and then had postpartum depression,” she explained. “But then when they took the pills with their second baby, they did not suffer from depression! So I thought, why not try it? What do I have to lose?

She continues, “I really didn’t want the baby blues and thought I can’t go wrong with taking a pill made of my own hormones—made by me, for me. I started researching and read about so many moms who felt this same way and said the overall healing process was so much easier.”

“I had great results and felt so energized and didn’t have any signs of depression!” Kim revealed. “I definitely had to do it again. Every time I take a pill, I feel a surge of energy and feel really healthy and good. I totally recommend it for anyone considering it!

Any of ladies on board with the placenta-eating program?

What Role Did Black Men Actually Play In Daniel Holtzclaw Raping Black Women? [Editorial]

$

151210215455-daniel-holtzclaw-oklahoma-police-officer-charges-00022705-large-169

Often when I hop on Twitter, I find myself asking the same question: “what the f*** did I do this time?” It doesn’t take long for me to be on Twitter before I see Black women (and Black men too) talking about something Black men did or are continuing to do so undermine them. It’s…frustrating…and my initial reaction is to get defensive. I want to push back because when I see “Black men” I see myself and I start to feel targeted, like my support of Black women is getting overlooked. I think about my Black male peers and how they uplift Black women and I want to launch back at the idea of Black men somehow not doing enough for our women.

But I can’t. There’s just no way I can win that battle. But don’t break out the tiny violin for my plight just yet.

Because when Ayesha Curry sent her tweets about being “classy,” I saw Black men – the ashy, momma’s basement kind of self-hating Black man, but Black men nevertheless – do the whole “if you hoes dressed like Ayesha Curry, you’d get a man” thing. And I saw that one guy who tried to ruin a woman’s picture of her getting a diploma by showing that she was a stripper once. And the guy who hates stretch marks. Looking at this bevy of ignorant a$$ Black men on Twitter (and in the world)  I can’t ask Black women not to be frustrated. No, these men don’t represent me and I’d like to hope they don’t represent anywhere near the majority of Black men. And while I’d love to see Black women annotate their frustration with “some” before Black men, I can’t police how Black women express the trauma they have to deal with.

In the f*cked up hierarchy of human importance in America, Black men have privilege over exactly one group of people: Black women. They’re subjugated and we have the power to subjugate them – and unfortunately some of us wield that power too often. So when Black women express their frustration, it’s not really productive for me to trumpet how I’m not like those guys. Me saying “but I’m a GOOD Black man!” isn’t much different from a cop or White guy yelling “but I’M not racist” every time racism gets brought up. That never helps the conversation and becomes more offensive as a result. Sure, it’s frustrating and inconvenient to hop on Twitter and hear how Black men need to do more, but I just have to tell myself that these women aren’t talking about me, offer my support, do what I can and shut the hell up sometimes.

Just last week, I asked a room full of Black women if they’d received unsolicited peen pics in their phone and every woman raised their hands. Then they explained how they were called b*tches for not being receptive. Look, if the trade-off for me not having to deal with that is having to read a few tweets about Black men that don’t even apply to me, then I’m okay with gritting my teeth and taking it without raising a fuss. I guess as a Black man, I need to maintain the confidence in my place as a supporter of Black women that I don’t feel attacked by Tweets and complaints that aren’t about me specifically in terms of my particular actions towards women. Even then, I have to admit that @Branfire’s tweets (he’s a Black man by the way) regarding Black men’s roles in Daniel Holtzclaw raping Black women struck such a chord with me…and obviously everyone else on Twitter.

For those who didn’t see, here was the first tweet that ignited the firestorm:

I think I get the sentiment, which he elaborated on here (of course, nobody saw the follow up because Twitter):

Screen Shot 2015-12-12 at 9.34.16 PM

However, the way the tweet and subsequent conversation went, it seemed like there was a connection between the way Black men treat Black women and Daniel Holtzclaw’s decision to rape Black women. If you take the tweet at face value, you’d think the insinuation was that Holtzclaw was listening to Future and because the lyrics talk about b*tches and h*es he decided to rape Black women. Also, the tweet seems to follow the same rhetorical logic as “what about Black on Black crime?” – the idea that if Black people treat each other well then White people will just take the hint and follow suit. I doubt that if Holtzclaw thought “but Black men love Black women,” then he would have stopped raping or chosen someone else to rape.

On a macro level, though, the larger sentiment is inarguable: Black women need to be treated better and Black men need to do better at providing that extra care. When I look at Holtzclaw’s face after the verdict was announced, I see a guy who’s in disbelief that he was found guilty because he was so sure they were too expendable for him to be facing consequences for their lives. Unfortunately, for the most part, he’s not given a reason to believe otherwise. Overall, if the world is shown that Black women’s lives matter, too, then more men like Holtzclaw – and you have to believe that there are definitely men like him out there – will face justice or even think twice about who they target in the first place.

Yes, I get tired of seeing tweets and statuses about Black men’s shortcomings. But I have to come to accept that as a Black man, I’m part of an oppressive system that has subjugated Black women even if I myself never called them b*tches or failed to hold them up like I should. And until every single Black man treats every Black woman with respect then I’ll probably see comments about ashy Black men and their ignorance. And, really, compared to what Black women have to go through, that’s not that bad of a consequence. But my reaction can’t be to make women change how they express their feelings; instead I have to hold my brothers in line. I don’t know if doing so will prevent another Daniel Holtzclaw, but I can’t imagine anything bad coming out of simply treating Black women how they deserve to be treated.

People Angry Serena Williams Beat A Horse

Serena Williams won Sports Illustrated’s Sportsperson of the Year and it’s supposed to be a glorious occasion. However a bunch of White people hopped on Twitter angry because they thought a horse, American Pharaoh, should have won. The horse won the Triple Crown and was voted by fans as their choice for the award, but SI said that the vote wouldn’t have any bearing on who won anyway. And, also, it’s a friggin’ horse! Like, you are really that angry that you’ll want a horse over a Black woman?

Sheesh. Just look at the anger, drink the White tears and salute to Serena Williams!

Tennessee Woman Attempts To Abort Pregnancy With A Coat Hanger

A Tennessee woman is making national headlines for her gruesome attempt at ending her pregnancy.

Anna Yucon is facing attempted murder charge after authorities say she tried to kill her baby by inserting a coat hanger inside herself.
The Murfreesboro Post reports:

A woman who attempted to perform an abortion with a coat hanger six months into her pregnancy has been indicted on a first-degree attempted murder charge, Murfreesboro Police reported.

Anna Yocca, 31, of Swindon Circle, was arrested Wednesday at Juvenile Court by Detective Tommy Roberts after the December session of the Rutherford County grand jury issued an indictment on the charge, according to the report. An employee at the Amazon fulfillment center in Lebanon, she was booked into jail on a $200,000 bond.

Roberts began investigating the case in September when evidence showed Yocca went to her upstairs bathroom, filled the tub with water, got in and tried to “self-abort” her pregnancy using a coat hanger, the report shows.

She became “alarmed and concerned for her safety” when she saw a great deal of blood in the tub, and her boyfriend took her to St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital emergency room. From there, she was transported to St. Thomas Mid-Town in Nashville where staff members saved “Baby Yocca,” the report shows.

However, the baby weighed only 1.5 pounds and will suffer medical problems.

Roberts reported the nurses and doctors he interviewed indicated Anna Yocca made “disturbing statements” about the baby and wanting to terminate her pregnancy with the coat hanger at about 24 weeks.

Even though the baby survived the trauma, physicians said the boy’s quality of life “will be forever harmed.”

He will need a medically-experienced foster parent, remain on oxygen and take medication daily because of problems with his eyes, lungs and heart stemming from damage caused by the coat hanger.

Goodness, that poor child!

What do YOU think about this story out of Tennessee???

Comin’ Out: NBA Ref Reveals He’s Gay After Rajon Rondo’s Angry Homophobic Rant

Bill Kennedy Rajon Rondo

NBA Ref Bill Kennedy Comes Out As Gay

A new report on Yahoo! Sports reveals that NBA referee Bill Kennedy is gay. The news comes on the heels of an in-game homophobic rant by the Sacramento Kings guard Rajon Rondo back in early December.

“I am proud to be an NBA referee and I am proud to be a gay man,” Kennedy told Yahoo Sports on Sunday night. “I am following in the footsteps of others who have self-identified in the hopes that will send a message to young men and women in sports that you must allow no one to make you feel ashamed of who you are.”

Commissioner Adam Silver applauded Kennedy in his effort to live his truth.

“I wholeheartedly support Bill’s decision to live his life proudly and openly,” Silver told Yahoo Sports in a statement. “Throughout his 18-year career with the league, Bill has excelled as a referee because of his passion, dedication and courage. Those qualities will continue to serve him well both as a game official and as a positive influence for others. While our league has made great progress, our work continues to ensure that everyone is treated with respect and dignity.”

As for Rondo’s hateful remarks:

After Kennedy, 49, ejected Rondo with consecutive technical fouls in a Kings loss to the Boston Celtics, Rondo defied league protocol to immediately leave the court and began stalking Kennedy, who had retreated to a far sideline of the floor.

In the game officials’ report used as part of the NBA’s investigation – which includes details provided to Yahoo Sports from National Basketball Referee’s Association general counsel Lee Seham – Kennedy and fellow referee Ben Taylor described Rondo’s post-ejection diatribe as including the statements: “You’re a mother——- fa**ot. … You’re a f—— fa**ot, Billy.”

Seham reported that a third official, Bennie Adams, outside of hearing distance, “affirmed that Rondo aggressively pursued referee Bill Kennedy and had to be restrained by teammates and escorted off the floor by Sacramento team security.”

Kobe got himself fined $100,000 for using the f-bomb toward a straight ref, Rondo got himself suspended for a game that will effectively cost him $86,300. Seem fair or nah?

Sams Club CEO Accused Of Reverse Racism

Rosalind Brewer, the African American CEO of Sam’s Club, is facing an onslaught of white outrage today after she explained how important diversity is within her company, and expressed that she feels some concern when she faces a group of CEOs that are all white and male.

Via Business Insider:

Sam’s Club CEO Rosalind Brewer is being accused of discriminating against white men following a CNN interview where she discussed the importance of workforce diversity. Brewer was asked by the interviewer how she promotes diversity within her company.

“It has to start with top leadership,” Brewer said. “My executive team is very diverse and I make that a priority. I demand it within my team.”

She said she mentors women inside and outside of her company, as well, and also encourages Sam’s Club’s partners to hire a more diverse workforce. Now here’s the comment that ignited the uproar. Brewer said:

Just today we met with a supplier and the entire other side of the table was all Caucasian males. That was interesting. I decided not to talk about it directly with [the supplier’s] folks in the room because there were actually no female, like, levels down. So I’m going to place a call to him.

Critics are claiming that Brewer’s remarks are evidence that she advocates against employing and hiring white men — even though four of the eight people on her executive team are white men. Some customers are now accusing Brewer of being “racist” toward white men and are threatening to boycott Sam’s Club.

SMH. QUITE a stretch to pull racism from that comment. They can’t stand it when the see other demographics in positions of power not catering specifically to them, can they?

Phaedra Parks Says She Can’t Date Until She’s Legally Divorced

RHOA star Phaedra Parks admits that she can’t date a new boo until this happens according to E!Online reports:

During an interview at the NBC Experience Store in New York on Monday, the Real Housewives of Atlanta star told E! News that her “first priority is obviously being a mom, and everything else takes a backseat to that”—even dating!

Parks is “still currently married” in the eyes of the law, she explained, “and so, you know, I am a Christian, and I don’t feel it’s appropriate to date until you’re legally divorced.”

“Once I divorce I will definitely consider dating,” said Parks, “but at this point,my sons [Dylan and Ayden] are my first priority.”

Clearly, Parks is committed to being a role model for Dylan and Ayden and acting in accordance with her religious and moral beliefs. That’s why the RHOA star isn’t even considering dating until her and Nida’s divorce is finalized. As she told E! News, “I think it would be irresponsible of me for to bring men around my child while I’m still married, and [to let them be around] people that I don’t plan to get serious with.”

Naomi Johnson Beating Video

An Alaska teen is making national headlines after her brutal beating by “friends” went viral.

Naomi Johnson of Anchorage was kicked, punched and brutalized by three girls after she says they lured her to a house for a “sleepover.”

After Naomi got there however she was jumped by the teens who recorded the attack and spread it on social media.

KTVA reports:

The father of an Anchorage teenager who was filmed being beaten by a group of fellow teens has filed a lawsuit against the homeowner where the attack allegedly occurred, seeking more than $100,000, according to court documents.

The video, which was recorded July 26, 2015, shows a group of girls — ranging in age from 13 to 17 years old — kicking, punching and pulling the hair of Naomi Johnson, who was 14 years old at the time of the incident.

“She walked halfway there, and they picked her up,” said her father, Wayne Johnson. “She walked into the garage, sat down, and she was texting on the phone, and then somebody… got up on her pool table and started filming. And then a few seconds later they attacked her, so it was premeditated.”

Johnson said the attack appears to have been orchestrated by a girl Naomi was friends with for three years.

Anchorage police have reportedly wrapped up their investigation into the incident. A final report will be sent to the Division of Criminal Justice, who said Monday it has not yet received anything from police.

While no charges have been filed against the teens involved — none of whom have been named due to their ages — Naomi’s father has filed a lawsuit against Deanna Kirgis, the owner of the home where the beating allegedly occurred and mother to one of the girls involved, according to court documents. (Read full lawsuit below.)

In the lawsuit, Johnson alleged Kirgis “negligently and/or recklessly” allowed the beating to happen by not properly supervising. He further charges Kirgis allowed the teens to drink at her home and failed to rescue or assist Naomi when the others were hitting her.

Naomi has since left her old school because of the incident and threats from some of those involved, according to her parents.

So sad.

Why are these teens not facing charges??? And why do YOU think Naomi was attacked???

Lesbian Couple Files Suit Against NYPD Over Beating And Homophobic Slurs

This past summer we posted a story about a lesbian New York couple alleged that they were assaulted by an off duty officers and several others after being referred to as “f***ing dykes”.

They are now seeking restitution for their suffering according to the HuffingtonPost

A Brooklyn woman who alleges a police officer called her a homophobic slur before assaulting and falsely arresting her is suing New York City and the police department.

Filmmaker and bartender Stephanie Dorceant, 29, and her ex-girlfriend, Nandi Allman, filed the suit in a Brooklyn federal court Monday afternoon — two weeks after she was cleared of assaulting the police officer. It claims that early on July 11, 2015, the couple was walking back to their apartment in the Flatbush section of Brooklyn when off-duty NYPD officer Salvator Aquino, who was not in uniform, bumped into Dorceant from behind.

“When Ms. Dorceant asked Police Officer Aquino whether he was ‘alright’ he responded in sum and substance ‘mind your own business you f***ing dyke,’” the lawsuit states.

Stephanie goes on to say:

[Aquino] then attacked me, punched me in the face a number of times, choked me and called me several more anti-gay slurs. When he had his hands around my neck I truly thought I was going to die. I could not breathe. The only way I could get him to stop attacking me and my girlfriend was to bite him.

When other police officers showed up I thought we were saved. That was not the case. It turned out that this man was an off-duty police officer. Instead of helping me and my girlfriend and arresting our attacker, more officers piled on top of me, slamming me onto the pavement and putting their knees on my neck, shoulders, and back. They then put us both into handcuffs and threw us into a holding cell in the precinct. After being processed at the precinct I was taken to the hospital, and then to central bookings.

She also says she has suffered from severe PTSD as a result of the incident.

“I keep having nightmares that [police are] trying to kill me,” she said. “I woke up shaking my heart was tremoring. I had to call my sister to calm me down because I dreamt that I was in jail and a cop tried to molest me and it felt very real. I constantly keep having this fear they’re going to take me, or this is all a dream and I’m actually back in Rikers.”

The suit names Officer Aquino, 5 other NYPD officers and the city of New York for unspecified damages aka MILLIONS of dollars. We hope they win every dime.
