Kim Zolciak’s Stroke Reveals Major Heart Issue

It looks like Kim Zolciak’s stroke might have actually been a life-saver. The reality star lost feeling on one side of her body and was hospitalized just hours after appearing on “Dancing With The Stars.” Though the condition seemed minor — a closer look by docs revealed that she was already suffering a much more serious heart condition.

Via TMZ:

Kim Zolciak’s mini-stroke was far more serious than anyone thought … we’ve learned she had a heart procedure following the TIA and could have died.

As we reported, Kim had the mini-stroke in Atlanta, hours after appearing on “Dancing with the Stars.” She had lost feeling on one side and her ability to speak, but it was only temporary.

Kim has told friends that doctors thought she could be released almost immediately, but a test revealed there was a more serious, underlying heart issue. Doctors kept her in the hospital and she told friends the docs performed a procedure Friday. We do not know the nature of the problem or what doctors did to correct it.

We’re told Kim would never have known about the heart issue had she not gone into the hospital for the TIA. And doctors told Kim if the heart problem were left untreated, it could have become life-threatening.

Wow. Whatever she’s going through sounds very serious. We really hope she’ll be alright!

When Black People Get Equal Medical Care They Live Longer Than Whites

A new study shows Black patients fare better than whites when African Americans get equal and adequate health care.

Via LA Times:

Over a nine-year period, researchers found that the adjusted mortality rate of African Americans was 24% lower than that of whites, according to a study published this month in the journal Circulation.

“We thought we were going to show they do the same if the same care is offered to both groups,” said senior author Dr. Kamyar Kalantar-Zadeh, a nephrologist and epidemiologist at UC Irvine. “But we found blacks do even better.

“This is a paradox within a paradox,” he said.

The results suggest that blacks may have genetic or other biological advantages that make them healthier than whites in some ways, but that those advantages are canceled out by other factors in society at large, the study authors wrote.

That idea is not new because it has been proven that Blacks survive longer than whites:

Among patients with kidney disease, blacks survive longer than whites — a well-known exception to the overall pattern. Kidney care also happens to be an area of medicine without large racial disparities, since the U.S. government has long covered dialysis for anybody who needs it.

Kalantar-Zadeh and his colleagues wondered whether there were similar differences among people without kidney disease who had equal access to healthcare.

Using VA records, they identified 547,441 black patients and 2,525,525 white patients who had a normal kidney function test between 2004 and 2006. Most were men, and their average age was 60. The researchers tracked them for an average of eight years.

In an editorial that accompanied the study in Circulation, Drs. Nakela Cook and George Mensah of the National Institutes of Health said the results raise important questions about health disparities in the U.S. They also cautioned that though there may be biological differences between blacks and whites, other factors could be at work as well.

For instance, they wrote, blacks in the VA system might have better underlying health than blacks in the general population — a gap that may be less pronounced for whites. Exercise, diet and other factors not considered in the study could also play a role.

Kim Zolciak Blasts Wendy Williams

Kim Zolciak is apparently fighting mad with Wendy Williams after the talk show host “insinuated” that the DWTS contestant might have faked having a mini stroke.

As previously reported the mother of six has been hospitalized after suffering a TIA that uncovered a serious underlying heart condition.

Unfortunately for her however, Wendy Williams apparently wasn’t all the way sold on her health scare and blasted her on her “Hot Topics” portion of her talk show.

“She allegedly suffered a mini-stroke after returning home from DWTS last week. Now Kim is 37-years-old and, you know, she’s got six children. She looks terrific, you know, and by the way, the reality show is cute but Kim my thought is but I hope you’re not fibbing about the stroke,” Wendy said.

“Kim, at 37 years old, if you did have a mini stroke, I’m sorry to hear about that. If, however, you just wanted to get off “Dancing With The Stars”, all you had to do was just stub your toe.

Kim has since gone OFF via Instagram and is claiming that Wendy is only blasting her for refusing to come on her show.

This is so sad.

According to NY Post reports:

Police say they’re investigating the death of a woman discovered at the home of a young girl found alone in a CVS parking lot.

Baltimore County Police announced early Monday that the girl described as about 3 years old was found around 10:30 p.m. Sunday in the Hollins Ferry Road in Lansdowne. Hours later, police tweeted that they determined that the girl lives at a home about a block away and a woman was found dead at that home. Police say they are conducting a death investigation.

Police said Monday afternoon that there was blood on the little girl’s clothes and on the dead woman. Investigators say there were no obvious signs of foul play.

The girl is now in the custody of Baltimore County Social Services.

Our prayers are with that poor child. This is so sad but definitely goes a long way toward explaining why the girl was found alone in the parking lot. Hopefully she has some surviving relatives who will take good care of her.

Prayers up for that precious baby.

Chris Brown Granted Joint Custody Of Royalty

Breezy and Baby Mama Nia Guzman have finally reached a legal agreement when it comes to custody of baby Royalty.

As a source close to the case shared with TMZ, Chris has been granted joint physical and legal custody of his baby girl. Chris gets Royalty 12 days out of each month, with no supervised visitation.

Royalty also officially became a Brown — both parents agreed that she’ll take on Chris’ surname, with no middle name.

As far as child support, Nia will receive $2,500 a month, as well as $15k in back support. Chris will also cover costs for Royalty’s schooling, health insurance, medical bills and all nannies.

Chris cut it close with hsi drug test. Sources say he “failed,” testing positive for kush and codeine — but the judge let that one go because Breezy has an prescription on file for each substance.

Seems like an overall victory for Chris. Hopefully his legal team can be equally as effective ensuring that he gets to perform in Australia.

Have you ever been eating a hamburger and thought: “Wow, I really wish this came in some unnatural and off-putting color instead?” No? Well, Burger King has you covered anyway…

You don’t have to go to Japan to try Burger King’s black-bunned Whopper.

Burger King is bringing it to the U.S. just in time for Halloween. “Something wicked is coming,” announced the burger chain on Twitter, with a brief promo video featuring thunder and lightning and a lunar eclipse, with a burger standing in for the moon.

But it’s not just the color, insists Burger King. It’s also the flavor, with A.1. sauce baked into the bun. According to Burger King, it’s the sauce that turns the buns black.

“While the pitch-black bun gives the Halloween Whopper sandwich a look that may make some think ‘hmmmmm?’ the burger’s classic A.1. flavors will have tasters saying ‘mmmmm,'” said Burger King.

Well — we won’t lie, it looks utterly disgusting. But we’re sure some kids will want to grab one to get in the Halloween spirit.

A model represented by Trump’s modeling agency recently said that because the pope doesn’t slam organizations like Planned Parenthood or open his speeches with prayer, he is clearly a false prophet — and she’s pretty sure she saw him toss up some of those tell-tale Illuminati gang signs that all the YouTube conspiracy theorists know about…

Alexandra Tomlinson, one of Trump Model Management’s most successful catwalkers — she’s been the face of De Beers diamonds and posed for Chanel and Valentino — posted a rant on Facebook over the weekend in which she called the pontiff a “False Prophet” and even linked him to the Illuminati.

Her modeling agency was founded and is still run by the billionaire presidential candidate.

On her Facebook page, the right-leaning Tomlinson decried the fact that Francis didn’t open his speech to Congress with a prayer or use the platform to condemn Planned Parenthood.

“Strange for a man of God,” she writes. “As I see the egregiously positive reaction to Pope Francis by the citizens of this country and this world, I’m left dumbfounded. He is completely transparent, how is he pulling the wool over so many soul’s eyes? And I use the word soul on purpose. For I believe more and more that this man is the False Prophet,” Tomlinson’s posting reads.

She goes on to say that “Pope Francis worships a different God, the antithesis of Christ” and that he flashed a hand gesture she claimed links him to the “sect of satanists called The Illuminati.”

Of course, as soon as her post caught attention her modeling agency came out and told everyone that those were not her views and her account had been hacked. However…the post is still active with no mention of a hacking.

Do these sound like the rants and raves of a slight religious fanatic with a lot of time in her hands to cruise the conspiracy corner of the internet…or might she be onto something??
