37 fraternity members are facing hazing charges after a pledge died while aspiring to join their organization.
According to USA Today, Chun “Michael” Deng was killed during his freshman year at Baruch College in 2013 when prosecutors say he was extensively hazed.
A grand jury report states that fraternity members blindfolded Dang and made him wear a heavy backpack while they tackled him during a hazing ritual known as “glass ceiling.”
Deng then fell to the ground unconscious, and was brought inside near a fire where fraternity members called their national President Andy Meng.
Meng then instructed them to hide all fraternity materials and Deng was taken to the hospital where he died a day later of “multiple traumatic injuries.”
President Meng has since been charged with counts of hazing, conspiracy and hindering apprehension although he previously released a statement condemning the chapter.

During a traffic stop Sunday night a Kentucky trooper was shot to death by a man he was trying to help, police say. According to state police Joseph Ponder, 31, pulled over Joseph Thomas Johnson-Shanks and discovered he was driving without a license. The twenty-five year old driver had two women (neither with valid licenses) and two children in the vehicle as well, so Ponder began to organize a hotel room to await a ride.
During this time the suspect fled resulting in a nine-mile high-speed chase. Johnson-Shanks slammed on his breaks and came to a stop. Ponder positioned his car against the car of the suspect, Johnson-Shanks leaned out of the driver’s window and fired several rounds into the trooper’s car.
Ponder was transported to a hospital in Princeton, Kentucky, but died from his injuries.
The shooter then fled the scene a second time, and local forces proceeded with an hours-long manhunt which took all night. When he was finally located in a forest near the interstate around 7 a.m., police say he raised his weapon. After refusing to surrender, Johnson-Shanks was fatally shot in a police stand-off.

Apparently Meek Mill isn’t the only rapper who thinks he can take Drake... Wayne recently maintained that he is still nicer than Drizzy in an interview with Cari Champion.

Drake came up when Champion asked Wayne about discovering the Canadian rapper. The YMCMB co-sign gave Drake “confidence” after getting “shunned by a lot of people,” he explained. He also encouraged Drizzy to stick to his signature sound. “I was the one to tell him: ‘Don’t change anything,’” Wayne continued. “Don’t think ‘cuz you coming over here by me you gotta start rapping about the things I rap about, don’t do none of that. Please rap about your little TV show, whatever you wanna rap about. Rap about girls…that’s what you’re good at.'”
October’s Own took his advice to “keep it Canadian,” and it turned him into one of the biggest acts around. That doesn’t mean he’s better than his boss though. When asked who’s the better rapper Wayne replied with a laugh: “Man, I annihilate that guy.”
Of course he maintained that there is no real beef here… But there has to be some level of realness to the jokes though, riiiiight? What do you think? Does Weezy have it over Drake — or nah?

We reported earlier that Ahmed Mohamed, a 9th grader from Texas was arrested for bringing an electronic clock to school. The talented teen showed the project to his engineering teacher, who reportedly applauded the design but told him not to show it to other teachers.
In Ahmed’s English class, the clock beeped while it was in his bag which prompted the 9th grader to show the project to his teacher, but she thought it looked like a bomb.
Social media has come to rally around the Muslim teen and some of the world’s biggest tech leaders have come out to support the talented young man. Mark Zuckerberg invited him to visit the social media giant Facebook…
President Obama tweeted this to the Muslim 9th grader as well:
