Federal Judge Denies Bobby Brown In $1.1 Million Lawsuit Against National Enquirer
It’s all bad being Bobby Brown. The former R&B sensation was hit with the news that a federal court judge has dismissed his 1.1 million dollar lawsuit against the National Enquirer over an article stating he planned to re-marry Whitney Houston. All he had to do was follow the court’s order.
Back in 2013, Brown sued The National Enquirer and the author of an article that ran shortly after Whitney Houston’s death which claimed the two had gotten back together and were planning to remarry.
Brown’s argument is that the article defamed him by claiming the two had been planning a Vegas wedding prior to her death. Additionally, the article cited quotes, attributed to Brown, which purported that he told friends that not only could he have prevented Houston’s death, but that he broke up with his fiancee to reconcile with her and also that his fiancee was completely understanding.
Brown and his fiancee vehemently state that all the “quotes” were LIES and claimed the magazine KNEW as much before publishing.
The tabloid then fired back. The Enquirer openly admits they NEVER spoke to Brown about the information they published. However, they deny they did anything wrong and shoot down Brown’s accusations that they knowingly published false information. Shortly after their response, both parties reached a settlement and the singer dismissed them from the legal battle
However, Brown continued his lawsuit against the writer of the article Derrick Handspike.
Then earlier this year, Brown filed docs in the case demanding the court slap the writer of the article with a default judgement.
Brown explained that he wants the court to order Handspike to pay up 1.18 million dollars for authoring the lies about him and Whitney Houston. Stating that due to the article, he lost 100k in contracts/offers alone. The other $1 million comes from damages that he has caused and will continue to cause Brown in the future due to the article being printed.
On August 14th, the federal court judge came back with his decision in the case. The order explains that despite being warned numerous times to serve Handspike with the complaint … he didn’t follow the court’s order and blew off trying to serve the author for months. Further, the judge doesn’t believe Brown’s claim that the author was evading service due to him having no proof to back up his claim.
The judge ordered the case to be closed and said he would not grant Brown any extensions to serve Handspike which means the case is dismissed forever and Brown was awarded nothing.
Like we said, it’s all bad being Bobby Brown.

According to insiders, he believes his recent confrontation with Khloe Kardashian outside an L.A. Soul Cycle was a blatant setup — and that he’s about to be humiliated on TV yet again.
A source told RadarOnline.com that the former NBA star is telling friends, “Khloe had been talking to him on the phone leading up to the incident at the gym.”
“Khloe is saying she had to change her phone number because Lamar had been calling her, but that is just wrong,” the source told Radar. “Lamar absolutely got the new number from Khloe. She has been trying to make him jealous that she is now dating James Harden.”

Newly released details of the suit claim that a friend of Bobbi Kristina’s, an 18-year-old high school student, was also at the home in a drug-induced state the night that Bobbi drowned in the bathtub — and Nick made advances toward her after causing Bobbi Kristina irrevocable harm.

A civil lawsuit, filed on behalf of Bobbi Kristina’s estate, was amended after Bobbi Kristina’s death with new accusations against Nick Gordon, claiming he drugged her with a ‘toxic cocktail’ and drowned her in a bathtub of cold water.
In an astonishing new revelation, the civil lawsuit claims a ‘white girl’ was lying on the bed in the master bedroom as the alleged altercation played out.
According to the suit, Gordon came out of the bathroom wearing different clothes, lay his head on the ankle of a female guest, and said: ‘Now I want a pretty little white girl like you.’
The female guest is not identified in the papers but it has been confirmed that Danyela Bradley was present in the home at the time.
The newly-identified photograph of Danyela emerging from the hospital a day after Bobbi Kristina was admitted, has raised new questions as to what took place on the tragic night.
Danyela’s horrified mother, Marlene Bradley, told Daily Mail Online this week that she had no idea her daughter had even been at the hospital.
High school senior Danyela had been staying on-and-off at Bobbi Kristina’s townhouse, which she shared with Gordon, in Roswell, Georgia.
Danyela was at the home on January 31 when Bobbi Kristina was found unconscious. Danyela’s boyfriend, accused drug dealer Max Lomas, 24, and Nick Gordon, 26, were also present.

Federal investigators say a central Ohio man is under arrest for making child porn out of his Columbus apartment.
This comes after raids at two locations Thursday morning. The raids took place at 714 Lanreco Boulevard in Lancaster and 2996 Barclay Square in Columbus just after 7:00 a.m.
In the wake of the law enforcement activity, 23-year-old Eric Chavis was taken into custody by Immigration & Customs Enforcement at his Columbus apartment.
Homeland Security agents say the case involves child pornography. According to sources, the investigation involves a minor allegedly videotaped performing sex acts.
Authorities tell 10TV the probe began out of the Central Ohio Human Trafficking Task Force, who had come in contact with the victim after a prostitution sting in April 2015.
The victim said Chavis – an aspiring rapper who goes by the name “Thot King” – promised to make her a star in one of his videos when she was 16-years-old. She then came to the Columbus apartment and was given alcohol and marijuana. The victim participated in several videos where she was nude or partially nude.
Those videos were distributed to online social networks, pornographic websites, as well as for sale on DVD.
The victim told investigators she asked Chavis to remove the videos. However, he asked for sexual favors in exchange for removing them.
Chavis faces two counts of distribution of child pornograhy. If convicted, he could face a minimum of 20 years in prison.

Cash Money CEO Birdman is accused of yet again failing to pay a music producer hundreds of thousands in royalties for hit songs like Lil Wayne‘s “Fireman” and now the star producer has headed to court slapping the music mogul with a huge $400k+ lawsuit over the debt.
Music producer DVLP (real name Bigram Zayas) filed a federal lawsuit against Cash Money Records accusing them of screwing him out of thousands!
DVLP says that from September 2014 – January 2015 his manager and Birdman were communicating regarding music and copyright infringement and unpaid royalty payments. The producer says Birdman agreed to pay a total of $200k to settle all the issues.
The producer claims on numerous occasions Birdman would text saying a wire was going to be sent for the 200k but no wire transfer was ever sent.
Then in May the producer got sick of waiting for the check and sent off a legal letter to Cash Money demanding the payment.
DVLP is accusing Birdman and Cash Money of breaching their agreement and is demanding $400k in damages for not following the terms of their deal.
When will Birdman start paying his producers???

Another tragedy has stricken Ferguson, MO. Right on the heels of unrest in the city at the one-year-anniversary mark of the death of Mike Brown, a little girl has been shot while insider her home doing homework. Via MailOnline:
A nine-year-old girl has been shot dead in Missouri as she lay doing her homework on her mom’s bed.
Jamyla Bolden, of Ferguson, was killed on Tuesday after a gunman opened fire on the family’s home.
Her father, James Bolden, issued a heart-breaking plea for anyone with information to come forward, as police have released no information about possible leads and no arrests have yet been made.
‘Don’t just do it for me. Do it for her. Do it for a nine-year-old child that didn’t even get to see the rest of the world,’ he told local news channel KMOV.
‘I never in a million years thought that I’d be laying my daughter to rest.’
Police believe the shooter fired from close range into the house, also wounding Jamyla’s 34-year-old mother in the leg.
It is believed the gunman stood close to the front of the house before opening fire through the bedroom window.
So sad!! SMH. Hopefully they can catch whoever did this…
