Birdman is going after Jay Z in court, claiming Jay is a failure at music streaming and is illegally using Lil Wayne to save his business.
Birdman’s company, Cash Money, is suing Tidal for streaming songs from Lil Wayne’s album ‘FWA’ … suing for $50 MILLION. Cash Money claims it has exclusive rights to Wayne’s music and Tidal is an illegal intermeddler.
The lawsuit, obtained by TMZ, gets nasty, with Cash Money claiming Jay Z’s fledgling company is now resorting to “a desperate and illegal attempt to save their struggling streaming service.”
According to the lawsuit, Tidal has claimed Cash Money does not have a exclusive lock on Wayne … Tidal claims Wayne specifically gave it the right to stream his music, in return for part ownership in the company.
Cash Money begs to differ, and the company quotes portions of its contract with Lil Wayne in the lawsuit. The contract specifically says Wayne does not have the power to license his music to anyone else.
And get this … Cash Money trashes Wayne’s ‘FWA’ album, saying it got “tepid reviews” and could hurt Cash Money’s attempts to exploit Wayne’s music.

A high speed chase ended with the death of an Atlanta-area teacher and another woman on an Alabama interstate today. Police from Alabama and Georgia gave chase as a woman, believed to the mistress of the teacher’s husband, sped across state lines after kidnapping the woman from her home. Via WXIA:
Police say a longtime special needs teacher was killed by her kidnapper following a chase that crossed state lines on Thursday.
According to Clayton County police, 49-year-old Sandra Barnett, a teacher McNair Middle School, died after her kidnapper shot her in a car stopped on the middle of Interstate 20. The suspect then shot herself, police said.
It all began Wednesday afternoon when neighbors of Barnett said they spotted a black Dodge Durango outside of the teacher’s home. The neighbors became suspicious because Barnett had recently replaced the lock on her gate to her backyard after believing that someone had tampered with the latch.
Clayton County police said they believe that the girlfriend of Barnett’s husband was the kidnapper.
According to the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office, deputies spotted the Durango around noon on Thursday at a truck stop on I-20 near the Waco exit, and a chase ensued.
The driver led officers heading west on Interstate 20 through Carroll and Haralson counties. When the chase crossed state lines, the Alabama State Patrol joined in.
The chase continued to mile marker 208 where the vehicle stopped suddenly while being pursued. According to Clayton County authorities, the suspect reached into the back of the car, retrieved a gun and shot Barnett before turning the gun on herself.
When Alabama troopers approached the car, they found the two women dead.
Officials said that officers did not fire their weapons nor were they fired upon.

The man responsible for the mass shooting at a 2012 screening of The Dark Knight Rises has finally been found guilty on all 165 charges he faced for the murder of 12 movie-goers. Via CNN:
Will James Holmes face death for killing 12 people inside an Aurora, Colorado, movie theater?
That could be the next question jurors will be asked after finding Holmes guilty Thursday of first-degree murder in the July 2012 shooting.
Holmes faced two counts of first-degree murder for each of the 12 victims. The jury found him guilty on all 24 counts.
Holmes, who had pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity, showed no reaction as the verdict against him was announced. He stood at the defense table with his attorney, his hands in his pockets. He faced a total of 165 charges.
The jury also found Holmes guilty of attempted murder on all of the 140 counts against him for the 70 people wounded in the shooting. Additionally, he was found guilty of one count of possession or control of an explosive or incendiary device.
Funny that someone like him or Dylan Roof gets to even live to see a trial date…SMH.

The 27-year-old pop star and soccer star Karim Benzema are still going strong, a source tells E! News. The couple was first romantically linked in early June after they were spotted enjoying a morning meal in NYC following a late night of clubbing.
We’re told the two have a great time together and are taking things slow. They have an amazing connection and always have a wonderful time when they are together.
The insider adds that Rihanna appreciates how the 27-year-old soccer player understands her hectic schedule and gives her the space she needs.
Rihanna and Benzema also share a mutual appreciation for their respective professions. The source says that the “Diamonds” beauty is a fan of both Benzema’s passion for hard work and soccer, noting that the couple supports each other and stays in contact when they are apart through text and phone calls.
Additionally, we’re told the duo has been spending time away from the paps as of late and, most importantly, Rihanna’s friends and work crew are said to be fans of the couple.
While neither the singer nor the Real Madrid star has commented on the romance, the Barbadian beauty was spotted stepping out with Benzema in mid-June, about one week after their post-clubbing breakfast date.

Nia is putting her foot down on Royalty visiting Breezy’s “party house” in LA. Chris’ baby mama already expressed discomfort about Royalty spending so much time at Breezy’s house around all his friends, ESPECIALLY after the break-in. Now, she’s trying to set some new conditions on the baby’s visitation to make sure she’s safe and taken care of. Apparently Breezy hears her loud and clear and doesn’t plan on putting up a fight.

This is the unbelievable moment a woman gives birth to a 10lb baby in the front seat of a car as she’s being driven to a birthing center near Houston.
The video shows the woman delivering the baby herself as a man, believed her husband and the father of the baby, drives down the highway towards the Bay Area Birth Center.
The video, which was posted on YouTube on Thursday, opens with the caption, ‘We’ve been driving for 45 mins. Already’.
After screaming several times, the unidentified woman realizes that the baby’s head is coming out, so she takes down her pants enough to pull the baby out. The man then gives the woman a high five, saying ‘We did it’.
‘He came out right in the car! Oh my god. You’re beautiful! Oh my goodness! What do I do?’ she responds.
This is the couple’s third child. Their first two children, both daughters, now aged two and one, were birthed at the Bay Area Birth Center.
