Sad news… One of Bobbi Kristina’s friends, former roommate and admitted sometimes dealer Steven Stepho has died.
According to Radar Online reports:
Bobbi Kristina Brown‘s former drug dealer Steven Stepho was found dead of a suspected overdose Monday, RadarOnline.com has learned exclusively.
A source close to Stepho told Radar that his “family and friends suspect it was a drug overdose,” and that the 22-year-old had a fatal relapse after trying to turn his life around.
“He’s been on the path to sobriety for a while — attending AA meetings — but they believe that he fell back into using heroin or with mixing it,” the source said.
Radar confirmed Stepho’s death with the Fulton County Medical Examiner’s office, who have yet to determine the exact cause of death pending results of a toxicology test, expected in about two weeks, as it’s being conducted in a private lab.
On a page of Georgia’s Roswell Funeral Home , Stepho’s family said they “would appreciate [if mourners would not] wear black to the Celebration of Life Service, [as] his favorite colors were Blue and White.”
Stepho told Radar less than four months ago he’d helped Whitney Houston‘s daughter and her partner Nick Gordon “get [drugs] sometimes, but not regularly.”
As RadarOnline.com previously reported, the 22-year-old Stepho has been twice arrested over the past two years in connection with possession of and intent to sell heroin. He was found with 5.8 grams of heroin and arrested in connection with drug trafficking in Oct. 2013, at a time when he had already been on probation. After pleading guilty, Stepho was sentenced to up to a year behind bars and placed on probation for 11 years.
In his chat with Radar in March, Stepho claimed that he’d turned over a new leaf when it came to drugs, as he said he had “a great job and a child on the way.”
“That part of my life is way in the past,” he said. “I made mistakes and have paid my dues for those mistakes.”
Brown, who remains clinging to life in an Atlanta area hospice, had other friends caught up deep in drugs, such as her childhood pal Chelsea Bennett, who fatally overdosed last year; Paige Thompson, who was imprisoned after heroin was found in her home; and Gordon, whose own issues with drugs have been well documented.
This is sad. We don’t understand how people start using heroin in the first place considering how lethal it is.

After a rough couple of days, things are looking up for Diddy. The DA has decided that Diddy’s kettle bell-assisted smackdown with son Justin’s football coach isn’t worth felony charges. If the City Attorney decides the incident is worth prosecution at all, the mogul will most likely face a misdemeanor assault charge. Via TMZ:
Diddy just got a huge break … TMZ has learned the L.A. County D.A. has rejected the case, meaning he will not be charged with a felony, but Diddy is not out of the woods just yet.
We’ve learned the case will be referred to the L.A. City Attorney, which could file misdemeanor charges against the mogul.
TMZ broke the story, Diddy was arrested last month after getting into a fight with his son’s UCLA football strength and conditioning coach. UCLA cops arrested him for felony aggravated assault and making terrorist threats.
The D.A. disposed of the case in a day, meaning it was a weak felony charge. Now the City Attorney must decide if it warrants prosecution for a lesser offense, most likely misdemeanor assault.
The City Attorney could make a decision next week.

Kendrick Lamar is clapping back in the most positive way possible. The rapper tackled Geraldo Rivera’s commentary on his BET Awards performance, and pointed out how the news host is simply trying to twist his positive message into something negative. Via TMZ:

Kendrick squarely responded to pundits, like Geraldo Rivera … when he came on TMZ Live on Thursday. He opened the BETs by rapping on top of a vandalized police car — and Geraldo accused him, and all hip-hop, of hurting black youths more than helping.
Check it out … ’cause Kendrick didn’t pull any punches. His point — the cop car was just a side dish, the real meat of his performance was giving people hope.

The LGBTQ community just scored another victory in the courts. Now, transgender students are permitted to use the restrooms corresponding to their new identities, rather than being forced to continue to use the bathroom for their former gender. Via MailOnline:
Members of the transgender community and their supporters are celebrating a huge victory in their battle towards equal rights.
The U.S. Justice Department announced in a court filing that transgender students must be allowed to use the restroom that corresponds with their gender identity.
The department says in a statement of interest filed Monday that failure to do so amounts to sex discrimination under Title IX of the U.S. Education Amendments of 1972.
The document was in response to a federal lawsuit filed against the Gloucester County School Board in Virginia by a 16-year-old transgender student who wants to be allowed to use the boys’ restroom at Gloucester High School.
The lawsuit says Gavin Grimm used the communal restrooms for two months without incident until the board adopted a policy in December requiring transgender students to use a private facility.
The change was made after complaints from some parents.
The lawsuit seeks unspecified damages and an order allowing Grimm to use the boys’ restrooms.
‘It’s very stressful and humiliating,’ Grimm told ABC in an interview last month.’

SMH. A Rhode Island cemetery worker was discovered swiping granite headstones from the graves of war veterans to make fancy tile flooring for his garage. Via MailOnline:
A cemetery worker in Rhode Island is expected to admit that he stole granite headstones from the graves of U.S. veterans and used them as flooring.
Kevin Maynard, a 59-year-old who worked at a veterans’ burial ground in Exeter, reportedly admitted taking at least 150 of the granite slabs and using them for projects including a shed and two garages.
Photos taken by federal investigators show some of the flagstones face-up inside a garage, with the details of a Second World War veteran clearly visible.
Other stones had been turned over, leaving the details of the soldier they were meant to honor pounded down into the dirt. A federal investigator said he saw other stones spattered with trash and motor oil.
According to local news station WPRI, which revealed the investigation, Maynard bragged to his colleagues about taking the stones, which had been taken from the ground because they were due to be replaced.
According to federal rules on veterans’ cemeteries, all granite headstones due to be replaced must be ground up to protect the dignity of the buried soldiers.
Man, he couldn’t even turn all the tiles over? So everytime he pulls into his driveway he has to read “here lies John?” SMH!
A judge has ruled that Sherri Shepherd will have to pay nearly $5k a month in child support to her ex Lamar Sally. This is the culmunation of a long legal battle where Sherri has tried to claim no parental ties to the child, born via surrogate and donated egg. Via RadarOnline:
Sherri Shepherd was ordered by a Pennsylvania judge to pay ex Lamar Sally child support to the tune of $4,100 for the next 12 years, for their infant son born via surrogate.
The View star will have to pony up the total until Lamar Sally Jr. turns 13, according to online reports, at which point she will have to dole out $4,600.
The ruling brings closure to a fiery court battle in which the 48-year-old star distanced herself from the child, as she claimed that her ex-husband used the baby to cash in for a payday. (She might still pursue fraud charges against her ex, who she divorced in May 2014.)
The 30 Rock star, who also has a son named Jeffrey, had previously said she “has no connection or responsibility” to the child, drawing angry criticism from both her ex and the woman who served as their surrogate, Jessica Bartholomew.
“I just don’t understand how she can act like this baby is nonexistent,” Bartholomew told Inside Edition earlier this year.
Sally in March said that the turn of events surrounding the child was “heartbreaking — actually, very heartbreaking.”

NFL veteran John Abraham turned himself in Thursday after a warrant was issued for an alleged assault at an Atlanta suburb strip club in February, police in Brookhaven, Georgia, told The Huffington Post.
Abraham was wanted on a charge of misdemeanor battery. A defensive end who played for the Jets, Falcons and Cardinals over 15 seasons, Abraham is accused of striking Vladmir Ako five times at the Pink Pony on Feb. 28, bloodying Ako’s nose. The two were in the beverage business together.
Abraham surrendered at around 3 p.m. and was booked into DeKalb County Jail, a police spokesman said. He was later released on bond.
The warrant had been issued just days ago because police only recently obtained surveillance video of the alleged attack, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution noted.
The same strip club has been associated with other trouble for Abraham. Last summer he was arrested on drunk driving charges after he departed the Pink Pony.
Sounds like the Pink Pony isn’t the best place for John-John to be hangin’ out…

After the release of his “Paula” album dedicated entirely to his estranged wife Paula Patton, Robin Thicke was embarrassed.
According to the R&B crooner he was told to “go away for a while” after “looking like a sucker” by begging to get her back.
My supersaturation came right after I performed on the BET Awards [in June 2014]. I dedicated the performance [of the song “Forever Love”] to my ex. And I came home, and my best friend of 20 years, Craig Crawford, said, “I saw your BET performance.” And I said: “Oh yeah! What did you think?” You know — excited. And he goes: “I gotta be honest with you, buddy. You’re kind of playing yourself. You look like a sucker.” And it hit me that I’d lost my perspective. What I thought was romantic was just embarrassing. And he said, “You should just go away for a while.” So I shut everything down. I took some time off to be with my son, and to be with my family and close friends. And the more time I took off, the more everything became clear.
And on his “embarrassing instead of romantic” album;
Look, my songwriting has always been autobiographical, and always will be. The “Paula” album was no different. I was struggling through my toughest time, and I decided to share it. And I remember my team and my record company didn’t want me to put it out, but they stuck by me. In hindsight, the only thing I would have done differently was, I wouldn’t have promoted it or sold it. I would have given it away. That would have kept the purity of the message intact.
