Wiz Khalifa just wanted to get turnt up in Vegas for this Memorial Day weekend but there’s a big wrinkle … baby mama Amber Rose.
We’re told Wiz just found out his estranged wife has booked a suite at the Palms Casino Resort, the same place he’s staying. He’s contacted the hotel and insisted that he’s not on her floor. Wiz has made it clear … he does not want Amber in his line of sight during the long weekend.
It’s gonna be complicated, because Amber’s hosting a pool party the same day Wiz debuts at club Rain as DJ Daddy Kat.
Here’s what’s apparent … bad blood in Vegas won’t stay in Vegas.
So, you can co-parent with her, but you can’t see her while you’re “DJ’ing”? Oh, ok…

‘Power’ Executive Producer 50 Cent and star Omari Hardwick say that white actors on the hit Starz show should be able to use the ‘n-word’ because it brings an authentic feel to the setting of the series. Oh.

For 50 Cent, the N-word is an important factor in maintaining the authenticity of Joseph Sikora’s character, Tommy Egan, on the popular Starz series “Power.” On the program, Egan is known as the very loyal partner-in-crime of James “Ghost” St. Patrick, who is played by Omari Hardwick. The characters grew up alongside each other in the rough streets of New York.
“I think the best thing was taking us to the neighborhood. I think that street credibility is palpable in the characterization of Tommy because it rings true,” Sikora told TheGrio.com regarding advice 50 gave him on his character. “I think that you need to have some of that experience… at least see those sights and meet those people.”
“You [say] things that you wouldn’t say, or he wouldn’t be comfortable saying things that I’m asking him to say until he sees the temperament of the people,” 50 Cent added. “Because over there, probably the most time they called you Ni**a.”
“Yo that’s my Ni**a Tommy,” the rapper gave as an example. “They’re not using it as a racial term, They’re saying that’s my guy.”
As for whether its okay for folks of any race to use the N-word, it all comes down to what neighborhood that person comes from, according to 50 Cent.
“When you live there. When you there, they ain’t gonna see a difference in you or anyone else… it’s just you’re not the police,” he said
Omari Hardwick adds there shouldn’t be a debate regarding the use of the N-word on “Power.”
“It shouldn’t be a debate about whether or not Joe should be allowed to use it,” he told The Grio. “If Tommy grew up in that world, and that was normal and everyday practice for him.. for Tommy to say that, if it authenticates what we grew up in as characters, I don’t think it should be a debate. It’s just truth.”
50 and Hardwick’s comments conjure up memories of Terrence Howard voicing his desire to use the N-word on “Empire.”
“I’m mad that we don’t say n—- in the show,” Howard said in an interview Entertainment Weekly earlier this year. “Why is TV showing something different from the reality of the world? Why is there a thing called censorship that stop people from hearing everyday talk? We use n—-every day. It’s become part of a conversation — why aren’t we using it in the show?”
Wonder if Omari lets his wife use the n-word around him too….

When Police Brutality Makes You Scared To Be A Parent
One of my favorite, thought-provoking podcasts is Another Round and one of the episodes a few weeks ago was about disconnecting from all of the depressing and triggering news about Black boys and girls getting killed by police. It’s an important lesson to remember: sometimes we need to remove ourselves from the news. Because every day it seems like we get a new video of a child being killed by a cop – or an announcement of that cop’s exoneration. It’s tiring. It’s stressful. It’s…debilitating.
In order to combat this war on our psyches, we need to get away from social media and the news so we can get some sanity. On Another Round, Tracy and Heben discussed what they do to disconnect – going to the movies or the park or an art show or something. It really made me think about what I do to disconnect, because I’d never really thought about my need to get away or how I get overwhelmed by the news of the war on Black lives.
I took some time and tried to find a pattern of behavior for when I get overwhelmed by dead black boys and girls. And I realized how I’ve been coping.
I get away from my kids.
That realization hit me like a ton of bricks. I just can’t look at my son in the face when I’m overwhelmed by the constant reminder that there’s a gun pointed at his head at any given moment. Because sometimes I feel less like I’m raising a boy to become a man and more like I’m bringing him closer to an inevitable moment when he’s murdered by a cop. The feeling leaves me with the thought that parenting is futile. That my son is less my son and more cattle being lead to an inevitable slaughter. I feel guilty for raising a child to believe in hope in a country that wants to take it away. This is how fear and American violence against Black lives affects my mind. This is how depressing it gets sometimes.
You know that feeling in your stomach when your kids do something slightly dangerous? You know, try to get as high on a swing as possible or climb something a bit higher than before? And you want to grab them and make sure they don’t fall even when the danger isn’t necessarily present. And while your first instinct is to grab them so they are safe, you know that it’s best for you to let them challenge themselves and be brave. So you just watch and get that feeling in the pit of your stomach; that nervous knot that won’t go away while fighting the urge to just hold your kid forever.
That’s how I feel every morning my son wakes up and goes into the world as a Black boy in America. When I don’t disconnect, I feel police violence waiting on every corner. I have a recurring fear where I get pulled over by a cop while my toddler is sleeping in the backseat and he’s awakened by a cop and starts screaming, startling a cop who fires shots into the backseat of my car. Think this is outrageous? Ask Aiyana Jones’ family if I’m not justified.
So how do I deal with the realization that I feel the need to get away from parenting when I’m overwhelmed by the omnipresence of police violence against Blackness? I defy my fear. I celebrate my children and my role as a parent. I’ve come to realize that raising a Black child and guiding them to adulthood is an act of radical defiance. The sole objective of police violence against Blackness is erasure. It’s an attempt to show that Black lives don’t matter. So I fight back by making sure my kids’ lives matter – and making sure they know their lives at least matter to me.
Sure, sometimes I need to disconnect from my kids – as does any other parent. But I refuse to let fear be the reason I get away. I owe my kids more than being a parent afraid of the future – afraid of the present threats on my their lives. Every day they wake up, go to school and simply live, they’re standing in defiance of police brutality and in celebration of their Blackness. Every day I’m a parent and love my children, I act in defiance of what a trigger happy cop wants from me. I will disconnect, only to come back stronger, better and with more love to give my children. I refuse to be a scared parent.
I want to give my children hope even when I feel like there is none.

50 Cents Files Civil Suit Against Rick Ross Over Ex’s Sextape
It looks like 50 Cent still has it out for Rick Ross & company after over 6 years of beefing.
TMZ reports:
Rick Ross was responsible for blasting the sex tape of his baby mama out to the world … so claims 50 Cent who is now taking aim at Ross in court.
50 has filed a lawsuit — obtained by TMZ — in which he’s trying to deflect blame from himself for the video which now has millions of views. Lastonia Leviston has sued 50 claiming she was so distraught after 50 posted the video she contemplated suicide.
But now 50 says Ross is actually the one who created the problem because he or one of his lackeys was first to post it … 50 just linked to it. 50 points to an interview Ross did with a radio station the day before the video was posted in which he said he was going to put the sex tape online.
50 says in his legal docs if he loses his lawsuit to Leviston, Ross should cover most of the judgment because he’s really the guilty party.
Leviston claims in her lawsuit the guy in her sex tape gave the video to 50 — who was more than eager to blast it out because it would embarrass his rival, Rick Ross.
Interestingly, we also found out that Rick Ross’ baby mama’s 6-year old lawsuit against 50 cent is finally going to trial next Tuesday, according to Stereogum:
Mid-beef in 2009, 50 allegedly posted a video of Leviston having sex with her former boyfriend Maurice Murray. The New York Daily News reports that court papers indicate Murray gave the tape to 50, who altered it by inserting himself into the footage and then posting it online as a weird form of revenge porn against Ross. It quickly racked up over 3 million views, and Leviston claims that her emotional distress over the situation led to suicidal thoughts. She filed an emotional distress suit against 50 in 2010. The suit has finally come to trial; jury selection begins next Tuesday, 5/26 and will run for two weeks.

Police arrested a man accused of tattooing a 13-year-old boy and advertising his work on the boy on social media.
Police say they are seeing more minors getting tattoos, even though it’s against the law to tattoo anyone under 18 unless authorized by a doctor.
Officers arrested Darius Hunter, 20. He faces charges of contributing to the delinquency of a minor and tattooing.
“Clayton County officers responded to an anonymous tip in reference to a minor being tattooed,” said Officer Charlene Watson Fraser, with the Clayton County Police Department.
Officers say that tip led them to a home near Jonesboro, where they say the 13-year-old was tattooed on his chest.
“You tattooed the minor by placing a tattoo on the chest of the said minor without the consent of the parents,” Clayton County Magistrate Court Judge Beatriz Scott said.
When Jones went by the home where police say the tattooing took place, a man told Jones nothing illegal went on there.
“The kid who they claim got tattooed doesn’t stay here. They didn’t get no tattoos from this house or none of that,” the man, who didn’t want to be identified, said.
Police confirmed the child was tattooed at the home.
Officers say Hunter had no business license and didn’t have a permit from the County Board of Health.

This story sounds like a scene out of a horror movie.
ABC News Reports:
A woman was found in a Maryland park pushing her dead toddler in a swing, and authorities say she may have been there all night.
Charles County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release Friday that police found the unidentified woman in a park with her dead 3-year-old son in the town of La Plata after receiving a call early Friday morning. The release said officers saw right away that the toddler was dead, and that his body showed no signs of trauma.
The sheriff’s office says the child’s body was taken to a medical examiner for an autopsy and the mother was taken to a hospital for a medical evaluation.
La Plata, a town of about 8,700 people, is located about 30 miles southeast of D.C.
So sad! She sounds like she may have lost it after he died.
