Kelly Osbourne Quits Fashion Police

Looks like she wasn’t kidding. Kelly Osbourne threatened to leave “Fashion Police” on Tuesday after Giuliana Rancic’s comments about Zendaya’s dreadlocs smelling of marijuana and patchouli oil went viral and outraged millions, including Zendaya herself.

Word on the street was that Giuliana felt like Kelly threw her under the bus when she took to twitter to side with Zendaya, and privately vowed to do whatever she could to get Kelly booted from the show since she wanted to leave so badly.

Looks like everyone got their wish, because as of Feb. 27, Kelly has chucked the dueces to the Giuliana and the rest of the Fashion Police crew. In a statement from E!:

Kelly Osbourne is departing E!s “Fashion Police” to pursue other opportunities, and we would like to thank her for her many contributions to the series over the past five years, during which time the show became a hit with viewers. “Fashion Police” will return, as scheduled, on Friday, March 30th at 9:00 p.m. and no decisions have been made on her replacement.

Well that escalated quickly. We don’t know where Kelly is about to work now…maybe her bestie Zendaya can put her on staff?

Black Madam Names Celebrity Butt Injection Clients

The Black Madam, a tansgender woman once known as the self-proclaimed “Michelangelo of buttocks injections,” is currently standing trial in the 2011 death of a British dancer who received illegal silicone butt shots.

Even though it’s uncommon for murder defendants to take the stand in their own defense, The Black Madam, real name Padge-Victoria Windslowe, did just that on the second day of trial — even bragging on the string of celebrities she performed illegal and potentially life-threatening butt injections on.

According to Philly.com, Windslowe said that she performed the procedure for Amber Rose back in her Kanye days, which instantly opened doors for her business to more celebrity clientele.

When District Attorney Carlos Vega asked Winslowe why exactly someone dating a multimillionaire recording artist, with arguable access to the finest plastic surgeons in the country, would instead go to a woman who performs illegal procedures in Philadelphia hotel rooms, Winslowe only responded, “I’m the best.”

Describing Amber’s new assets as a “a walking billboard” for her services, she claimed that Amber told her friends all about it, leading a stream of celebrities and celeb girlfriends to her doorstep for back alley butt shots.

Winslowe claims a woman she described as “Chris Brown’s girlfriend” received injections — though she did not specify exactly who she was referring to by name.

She also claimed that Nicki Minaj had an appointment set to receive injections, but for some reason never made it to get the procedure.

The information Winslowe gave was sketchy at best, with no real specification on the timeline of the celeb procedures or the location where they were allegedly performed.

True or not, she certainly seems proud of her “work,” huh? She better be careful…all that bragging might just get her a first-class ticket to prison.

America’s First Slavery Museum

About time, right? Whereas most refurbished plantations are there to recount the history of the “glory days” of the Antebellum south, the recently opened Whitney Plantation is there to expose and memorialize the open shame of American History — slavery.

According to New York Times, lawyer and long-time activist John Cummings has spent the last 15 years and over $8 million of his own personal money resorting the plantation for the purpose of telling the story of slavery up close and personal:

On Dec. 7, the Whitney Plantation, in the town of Wallace, 35 miles west of New Orleans, celebrated its opening, and it was clear, based on the crowd entering the freshly painted gates, that the plantation intended to provide a different experience from those of its neighbors. Roughly half of the visitors were black, for starters, an anomaly on plantation tours in the Deep South.

Built largely in secret and under decidedly unorthodox circumstances, the Whitney had been turned into a museum dedicated to telling the story of slavery — the first of its kind in the United States.

Located on land where slaves worked for more than a century, in a state where the sight of the Confederate flag is not uncommon, the results are both educational and visceral. An exhibit on the North American slave trade inside the visitors’ center, for instance, is lent particular resonance by its proximity, just a few steps away outside its door, to seven cabins that once housed slaves.

A number of memorials also dot the grounds, including a series of angled granite walls engraved with the names of the 107,000 slaves who spent their lives in Louisiana before 1820. Inspired by Maya Lin’s Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, the memorial lists the names nonalphabetically to mirror the confusion and chaos that defined a slave’s life.

Massachusetts Teen Charged With Manslaughter For Encouraging Boy’s Suicide

An 18-year-old honors student is accused of encouraging her friend to commit suicide.

Michelle Carter of Plainville, Massachusetts is charged with manslaughter for her alleged role in the death of 18-year-old Conrad Roy III, who was found dead in his truck from carbon monoxide poisoning in July, 2014, the Sun Chronicle Reports.

Charges were filed against Carter earlier this month after, cops said, a lengthy investigation revealed she texted with Roy right up to the time of his death.

A police report obtained by the Chronicle said, “Not only did Conrad tell Carter in several of his texts prior to his death that he was scared and didn’t want to leave his family, she continued to encourage him to take his own life, and when he actually started to carry out the act, he got scared again and exited his truck, but instead of telling him to stay out of the truck … Carter told him to ‘get back in.'”

Carter’s Facebook page includes postings indicated she organized a softball tournament last summer to support mental health awareness.

Carter’s lawyer, Joseph P. Cataldo, told the Standard that his client committed no crime and he expects the charge to be dropped.

Carter is free on $2,500 bail, according to NECN.

That lawyer can “expect” whatever he damn well pleases, but if this chick was sending ol’ boy text messages telling him he should check out, then orange is about to be her new black.

A three-year-old Texas boy was killed after shooting himself in the head in an apparent accident, police say.

Harris County sheriff’s deputies said the incident took place at 12:30 pm Friday inside the two-story home where the boy lived. The boy’s mother and another sibling were the only ones in the house at the time, the Houston Chronicle reports.

The mother was in a different part of the house when she heard the gun go off, officials said. The mother rushed to the room and found the three-year-old with a gunshot wound to the jaw area, officials told the paper.

The boy was flown to a hospital, where he later died.

Authorities have not questioned the mother and were still trying to figure out how the boy obtained the gun, the paper reports.

The sheriff’s deputies said the case is likely to be presented to a county grand jury once the investigation is finished.
