Black Family’s Home Firebombed By Racists

Racists targeted a rich Black family’s LA Mansion over the weekend, in an effort to drive them out of their affluent white neighborhood. Via DailyMail:

A Los Angeles family whose house was firebombed early Wednesday, causing $200,000 worth of damage, said they considered moving away, convinced they were the targets of a hate crime.

But Ronald and Malissia Clinton have chosen to stay after being inundated with support from the local community in Manhattan Beach.

The couple believe there is no other reason for the attack – where a gasoline-filled tire was set alight, blowing out the front of their house at 2.30am – other than the fact they’re black.

“I don’t have proof, I don’t have any type of motive, but I do have a gut,” Mr Clinton told My Fox LA. “And I tell you- my gut tells me this was racially motivated. And it was somebody that had the intent to harm, injure or even kill us.”

Mr Clinton, a pharmacist, was sleep when the attack occurred. He said he woke to the sound of at least two explosions. His wife, a corporate lawyer, was away on business. He quickly got his three children up, grabbed the family dog and ran outside. He then used a garden hose to douse the flames at the front of the house until firefighters arrived to finish the job.

The house was bought in 2013 for $3.5 million. The fire department confirmed the incident was arson.

Sad that the family had to deal with such hate. Thankfully, no one was hurt and hopefully the culprit will be caught soon.

Home Of Only Black Family In White Neighborhood Gets Torched In Suspected Hate Crime

An African-American family of four is lucky to have made it out alive after their home, which sits in a predominantly white area was allegedly targeted in vicious hate crime attack.

Authorities Thursday were investigating a “suspicious” fire at a South Bay home while the family who lives there wondered if they were targeted.

The fire was reported at 2:15 a.m. Wednesday in the 700 block of 11th Street in Manhattan Beach, the Manhattan Beach Fire Department said.
The family is black and moved into the home about a year ago.

The family was asleep inside the home, but was awakened by their barking dog and smoke detectors. They were able to get out of the house safely.
Homeowner Ron Clinton said someone left a burning tire at their front door.

“They used an accelerant to ignite it,” said Clinton. “All I know is that when I woke up, I woke up to a loud blast.”

“The fire was extinguished and found to be confined to the front entrance, with significant smoke damage to the second and third floor,” officials said.
The fire caused more than $200,000 in smoke damage to the home.

A motive has yet to be determined, but Clinton, a married father of three, says the family has had other incidents.

“We don’t know who could have done it. But being we are the only African-American family in that area, it was brought to my front door and it feels like it’s personal.”

Hopefully they find who did this and stop them from attempting to harm other families.

Bobbi Kristina Sustained Facial Injuries Before Drowning

Could Bobbi & Nick’s violent relationship have led to her tragic incident? More details have been released on the circumstances that led Atlanta-area police to begin looking at Bobbi Kristina’s “husband” Nick Gordon on suspicion of foul play. It turns out the suspicious injuries that piqued investigators’ interest were on her face, and seem to have been acquired before she ended up face down in her bathtub. Via TMZ:

Bobbi Kristina suffered injuries to her face before she was found submerged in a bathtub — according to a report — and that sparked the investigation focusing on her boyfriend Nick Gordon.

As TMZ first reported … Roswell PD started taking a closer look at Nick and Bobbi Kristina’s relationship after certain injuries raised their concerns.

WSB-TV in Atlanta says sources close to the investigation tell them the marks were on her face … and more specifically, her mouth.

As we’ve told you … multiple sources say there is a history of violence in their relationship — and their friend Max Lomas told police Nick was acting strangely before they found Bobbi Kristina.

This story is just getting more and more tragic by the day. SMH.

Bruce Jenner Confirms He’s On Hormones

Even though it’s all but been confirmed that Bruce Jenner is on his way to womanhood, his tragic 4-car pileup over the weekend inadvertently brought the measures he’s taken to achieve his new identity to light. Via PageSix:

Bruce Jenner was taking hormones, as part of his gender transition, at the time of Saturday’s deadly car crash near Los Angeles, sources close to the Olympic hero said.

The gold medalist made the admission to a health care worker as his blood was being drawn during the ongoing criminal probe, according to a report from Radar Online on Monday.

“There is no suggestion that the hormones were a contributing factor in the tragic accident,” a source close to Jenner told the site.

When Jenner was asked during the blood draw to detail his medications, the reality TV star said “he was taking a very low dosage of hormones that his doctor had prescribed,” a source told Radar.

“Bruce has nothing to hide, and was very cooperative with cops, and appreciated their professionalism.

“During the entire process Bruce was obviously very, very shocked and inquiring about the other victims — this has been a total nightmare for him, and Bruce is taking it very, very hard.”

The hormones are designed to give Jenner more feminine features in his gradual process of becoming a woman.

Michelle] and Viacom and it really took a toll on him and it caused him to be a different person. So I think that, going through all of those things, and having all of that stress and the world looking at you one way as a “woman beater” and person that steals someone’s money, it’s hard for you to get back into your industry when you had a career and not a job and somebody defames your character. I mean, it’s a lot to deal with day to day.

And I watched it. I went through it with him for three years. And I’ve been to counseling with him and you know all types of things or whatever so he can get back strong. It’s a lot for him, that’s on him and choosing to live our marriage publicly, everybody has an opinion, and when somebody has the bigger platform to share their story and the other person doesn’t, it kind of gets one sided.

And for him- I always get upset when he reacts out of anger on social media because I know that’s not really him and it’s coming from a bitter, angry place because the world has turned him into that person. You know, constantly accusing him of doing this and doing that and he’s constantly struggling to get back to what he had.

Toya also touched on how the possibility that he’s “fallen into her shadow” since their marriage:

When I met him, he had a career. He was a self made guy with his own. And then to fall back into my shadow, and then to be known as a woman beater and a this and a that it’s kind of, a lot. It’s a lot to deal with.

And I’m just praying for him and praying for our situation. I’m a person that is all about love and our family and I don’t like to give up. Especially being married two times. I don’t even like to go through the whole dating stage and all of that. I love my husband and I’m praying that we can get through this and he can get back right to the person that I met because he’s not the person that I met. This whole situation has changed him into someone else.

In addition to dishing on their ongoing marital issues, Toya also revealed that they were at one point considered for “Love & Hip Hop Atlanta” and brought up K. Michelle’s abuse allegations.

Chicago Mayoral Candidate Says Racism Persists Because White People Lack Understanding

Racism is an undeniably present negative in today’s society and one aspiring mayoral candidate says the reason it continues to exist lies in the lack of understand on the part of the white population.

Mayoral candidate Willie Wilson weighed in on the volatile issue of race in Chicago politics Thursday — suggesting white people don’t fully understand how issues affect African-Americans and accusing black aldermen of selling out by supporting the mayor.

“I want to call it like it is,” Wilson told a luncheon crowd of more than 100. “It’s unfortunate that in this kind of era, this time of the year that we have to sell ourselves out.”

But the political novice stumbled himself, appearing to address white people in the crowd at the River North restaurant as “whiteys.”

After calling out African-American aldermen for not supporting his mayoral campaign and for “voting pretty much 100 percent with Mayor Rahm Emanuel,” Wilson told the crowd at the City Club of Chicago luncheon that he’s accepting of all people.

“To the whiteys here, I’m letting you know, I ain’t prejudiced,” he said to some laughs from the crowd.

After the Sun-Times posted a report about the speech on its website, Wilson’s campaign issued a statement saying it “categorically denies the statements that were attributed to him” and demanded a retraction and apology.

“I’m not sure where this is coming from,” Wilson said in the statement. “I am proud to count people of all races as friends and supporters and would never refer to anyone as ‘Whitey.’ Maybe the reporter didn’t understand my Louisiana enunciation.”

NYPD Rookie Police Officer Indicted On Manslaughter Charge For Killing Of Unarmed Brooklyn Man

Peter Liang, the rookie cop who killed unarmed Brooklynite Akai Gurley has been indicted on second degree manslaughter charges for the shooting that took place in November in Gurley’s unlit housing project staircase.

According to NY Daily News reports:

Peter Liang will face criminal charges that can send him to prison for up to 15 years for the death of Akai Gurley on Nov. 20, 2014, a source said.

A grand jury started hearing the case on Feb 4. A spokeswoman for the Brooklyn district attorney declined to comment.

A source said Liang was indicted for a top count second-degree manslaughter, which means he acted recklessly, among other charges.

Liang discharged one bullet when patrolling the stairways of the Pink Houses in East New York, striking Gurley in the chest as the man stood in the landing a floor below.

The News reported that Liang and his partner did not answer the radio in the six-plus minutes right after the shooting and instead texted their union reps.

The DA had obtained an indictment in recent months against three cops in two different incidents involving alleged assaults during arrests.

NYPD Commissioner Bill Bratton had previously called Gurley’s shooting “an unfortunate accident.”

Liang is expected to turn himself in Wednesday morning ahead of his arraignment in Brooklyn Supreme Court.

SMH. Damn shame they have these unexperienced cops out here shooting blindly in the dark, afraid of what the big bad black man is going to do. An innocent man was killed and meanwhile you can bet the sorry a$$ Police and Sergeant’s Benevolent Association are out here issuing statements about how sorry they are for the poor cop, who still has his life, who “accidentally” took someone else’s because he was afraid.

Kanye West: Diva Behavior On Magazine Photoshoot

Kanye West is demanding, self-righteous, and difficult. Also water is wet. But somehow, crew members were shocked and stunned at how ‘Ye behaved during a recent magazine photo shoot.

As a source told DISH Nation, the rapper refused to speak directly with anyone on set, instead opting to sit in his car with shades on and send his assistant back and forth to record iPhone video of what was going on on set — then record videos of his own with feedback and adjustments.

“It was like he was trying to video conference but he was only sat twenty feet away from the set up.

“It was absolutely ridiculous. He was impossible to work with. He just sat there in the back seat of his car with his sunglasses on, making video demands.

“It actually would have been funny if he wasn’t making life so hard for everyone around him.”

After several hours of the makeshift video conference, Kanye finally decided everything was good enough for him to finally set foot on set. But when he got inside, he changed his mind yet again and made even more changes.

“He had the whole thing torn down and it ended up being shot in front of a plain white background,” the source said.

“At the last minute he also decided he wanted a very specific designer chair to be in the shot, but despite a ton of phone calls and running around no one could get their hands on it.”

“Anyone would have thought he was The Queen of England, the way he was behaving. His assistant was clearly embarrassed and run off her feet,” the insider added.

“He couldn’t have been more difficult if he tried. The end result was a very grumpy looking Kanye.”

Chris Brown Tour Date Cancelled

little detour back to the side of the highway that ultimately pushed back his tour may have cost him sales in the long run. One of his concert dates has already been cancelled due to poor ticket sales…and it’s possible that more stadiums may soon follow suit. Via Billboard:

Chris Brown recently canceled his headlining show at Minneapolis’ Target Center arena due to unspecified “scheduling conflicts,” according to the Star Tribune.

The real reason, however, may have been poor ticket sales. The show, with an attendance cap of around 20,000, had only moved about 3,500 tickets, according to Billboard’s sources. This appeared to be the case with most dates on the tour.

The show had originally been rescheduled before being canceled after Brown violated his probation.

Poor Breezy can’t catch a damn break, can he? SMH.
