Who needs a soggy bun when your hot dog can be wrapped in fried chicken?
Kentucky Fried Chicken is replacing bread with meat at select Philippines restaurants, according to a Facebook post from KFC Philippines.
There are no plans for the fast food chain in the United States to add the sandwich to the menu, according to KFC.
The new Double Down Dog sandwich features a hot dog covered in cheese and fitted into a bun-size piece of fried chicken.
On Jan. 26 and 27, the brave and hopefully heart healthy can purchase the sandwich from participating KFC’s in the Philippines, the Facebook post says.
Only 50 of the sandwiches are available per day and by the time many Americans were getting ready for work, the sandwiches were already sold out in the Philippines, according to an Instagram post from the KFC Philippines account.
It’s not the first time KFC created a meat sandwich. In 2010, select American chains offered the Double Down sandwich.

A group of Southern Baptist leaders are calling for integrated churches as a way to show unity among Christians of all colors as racial tensions between murderous white police officers and the African-American community continue to rise.
Leaders in nation’s largest Protestant denomination are preaching that integrated churches can be a key driver of racial justice in society. But that could be a hard sell to those sitting in Southern Baptist Convention congregations.
The Rev. Russell Moore, who leads the Southern Baptist’s Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission, is one of several white leaders calling for multiethnic congregations in the wake of the unrest spurred by the killings of black men by white police officers in Ferguson, Missouri, and New York City.
“In the church, a black Christian and a white Christian are brothers and sisters,” Moore wrote recently. “We care what happens to the other, because when one part of the Body hurts, the whole Body hurts. … When we know one another as brothers and sisters, we will start to stand up and speak up for one another.”
“The church lacks the moral authority to address the world about race before we set our own house in order,” said the Rev. Dwight McKissic, a black Southern Baptist pastor in Arlington, Texas.

A wannabe Pennsylvania state trooper ended up in cuffs after admitting to previously having underage sex during the recruitment process’s polygraph test.
Joseph Adam White was at the Meadville barracks to take his state police cadet lie detector exam on Jan. 15 when he made the startling revelation, reports The Patriot-News.
The 29-year-old reportedly told the examiner that he’d had consensual sex with an underage girl, who is now 19, four years ago.
It’s not clear what prompted him to make the confession.
But his alleged victim was then interviewed and confirmed the claims.
White, from Hartstown in Crawford County, was arrested on Thursday and charged with four counts of unlawful sexual contact with a minor and 10 counts of corruption of minors.
He was arraigned hours later before Magisterial District Judge Rita Marwood, reports the Meadville Tribune.
He is currently holed up in the Crawford County jail in lieu of $25,000 bond. A preliminary hearing is set for Friday.
First and foremost, this guy is a scumbag. That said, did he REALLY think he would be immune from arrest by being honest about such a sick crime? While trying to become a police officer no less…SMH
