Chris Brown himself has been staying out of trouble lately and seems focused on promoting his new album “X” as well as his upcoming tour with Trey Songz, but the fact that he’s still found himself in the midst of drama is allegedly not sitting too well with girlfriend Karrueche Tran who is said to be concerned for her Breezy boo’s safety

Chris Brown has decided to wear a bulletproof vest during his performances, and the reason behind the singer’s safety gear may surprise you!

Scary stuff! A source close to Chris Brown has EXCLUSIVELY revealed to HollywoodLife.com that he plans on taking precautions to protect himself during performances, and it’s all to make a special someone happy.

Chris’s long term on-and-off-again love, Karrueche Tran, is terrified about his safety, in light of a couple of recent events so he’s decided to wear a bulletproof vest.

“He now knows there’s always a chance something can go down when he’s in at a venue,” says the source, exclusively to HollywoodLife.com. “He’s aware of this because Karrueche lets him know that every damn day, like clockwork.”

It seems like Karrueche was persistent about Chris doing whatever he can to protect himself. The source continues, “He wants to be safe and wants her to stop tripping so hard so he was like, “I’m just going to wear a bulletproof vest. Will that make you happy?’” And she actually said yes! Problem solved!

It seems like Chris is running with a pretty intense crowd, so we’re glad that he’s decided to listen to his girl on this one.

And for those of you Breezy fans who are worried that Chris’s safety could stop him from performing, fear not! Our source tells us that Chris will not let Karrueche’s fear stop him from doing what he does best.

“He’s not going to let anything get in the way of him getting his racks so he’s going to do these next venues and he as safe, as possible,” our source adds. “He’s also rolling deep with his security too.”

If this is actually true, it might not be such a bad idea considering that Chris seems to find himself eerily close to dangerous situations even when he isn’t involved.

A new star is rising in ATL

Earlier this week BOSSIP was invited out to celebrate the release of a local up-and-comer ScottATL’s mixtape release.

On October 20th, 2014, Atlanta’s own rap sensation, Scotty ATL, took the city by storm with his anticipated mixtape release party for ‘Spaghetti Junction’. The event which was held at The Department Store, a club located in the heart of Atlanta’s thriving creative scene, was a special edition of their pre- existing Monday Night party; The Playlist Party, hosted by renown music journalist, Maurice Garland. As guests walked up to the entrance, they were greeted by local pop artist, King Pop, who was painting the cover art for the mixtape, right out front.

Spaghetti was certainly the theme for the night, as guests dined on a spaghetti dinner provided by Chef Marlo and his team over at Cravings Express. If that wasn’t enough, Scotty made sure to add some “ATL flair” to his party, by having a gold grill station set up for guests to receive gold grill molds provided by ATown Grillz. The crowd started to scream “Scotty! Scotty!” as he walked inside the building, setting the tone for the rest of the evening. As attendees continued to mix and mingle and enjoy the music, Maurice then made the announcement for everyone to make their way upstairs for the main event. The room flooded with fans and influencers wanting to hear what Spaghetti Junction had to offer. Maurice and Scotty had an intimate one on one sit down, (Scotty sitting in his famous ‘throne’), discussing the project, how Dungeon Family has passed him the torch and what his music will not only bring to the city of Atlanta but also to the rap community.

Scotty then asked DJ Scream, who played a major role with this project, to join him on stage in starting the show. As Scotty began to rock the stage, performing his full track-list, artists like Roscoe Dash and Goodie Mobb’s own Big Gipp joined him on stage to show their support. Gipp, who recently collabed with Scotty for the mixtape, joined Scotty to perform their song “Anotha Day Anotha Dolla” that got the crowd even more hype. As the performance came to a close, Scotty thanked each and every person that came out to show their love for not only him, but for a mixtape that truly holds classic music. “Everybody wants to be famous, nobody wants to be great. We brought the whole city out because I am striving to be great; not some gimmick. When you download and listen to each track on my mixtape, you will see why I say I am making Atlanta proud,” Scotty ATL stated.

Keep an eye out for this kid, he’s got something special on his hands.

Drake Gets Into Heated Argument, Tosses Cash Outside Of DC Club

Someone has certainly gotten on Drake’s bad side. While he was ~~shopping for a new girlfriend~~ attending a celebration at Stadium Club in DC, something got the birthday boy so riled up that he went from looking at booty to looking for a battle with an unknown party and took to throwing cash around outside the club.

Drake threw a whole lot of cash away Sunday … but he wasn’t making it rain — the rapper was rushing into a club he had just left in a fury, looking like was ready for a fight.

Drake was celebrating his birthday at Club Stadium in Washington D.C. Saturday night/early Sunday … and we don’t know why, but Drizzy was carrying what looked like thousands of bucks.

Some people inside the club claimed they saw someone punch a member of Drake’s crew … which could have triggered his temper.

Drake’s posse was famously involved in a blow-out with Chris Brown’s crew at W.I.P. nightclub in 2012, so it wouldn’t be the first time ….

Someone in Drake’s entourage was heads up enough to retrieve most of the loot.

Hmmm…wonder what happened to get him so hype?? You’re gonna make him mess around and catch a body like that…

A grandfather shot back and is believed to have killed a suspect (left) in a home-invasion and attempted rape of his teen granddaughter on Monday night, Robeson County Sheriff’s officials said.

North Carolina Grandfather Saves Granddaughter From Three Burglars

The grandfather was also shot – but he also managed to shoot the 2 other suspects in the home-invasion and attempted rape, said Maj. Anthony Thompson with the Robeson County Sheriff’s Office.

The incident started around 10 pm at a house on Yedda Road in Lumberton on Monday night when someone knocked on the home of the grandfather, his wife and their 19-year-old granddaughter, according to the sheriff’s office.

Two of three men – all wearing black clothes, ski masks and gloves — stormed into the house and demanded money, officials said.

The grandfather and his wife ended up in the back of the house and were directed at gunpoint to open a safe. The three men were all armed and tried to rape the teen girl, officials said.

The 67-year-old grandfather managed to grab a gun and shot all three of the suspects. The suspects fired back and the grandfather was hit several times, deputies said.

After that, all three wounded suspects fled in the grandfather’s gold Cadillac.

Later, the sheriff’s office was contacted when 2 men with gunshot wounds showed up at McLeod Hospital in Dillon.

Deputies received information that took them to Singletary Church Road near Lumberton where they found Jamie Lee Faison, age 20, dead inside the stolen Cadillac. He died from gunshot wounds, deputies said.

The grandfather was taken to a hospital and was later airlifted to another hospital.

A relative of the grandfather wrote on Facebook about the man’s condition.

“He is out of surgery but is still critical in ICU!! Thanks everyone for all your prayers just keep them coming!!! But the intruders have been caught!!!” wrote Sherri Bridgeman on Facebook.

The two other wounded suspects were airlifted to other hospitals for emergency surgery. Those two men were identified as Brandon Carver Stephens and Jamar Hawkins, deputies told The Robesonian newspaper.

The three suspects are also believed to have committed other home invasions in the area, deputies said.

Charles Barkley Talks “Crabs In A Barrel” In The Black Community

Charles Barkley went on a short tirade about how Blacks “will never be successful” because all we do is hold each other back. Take a listen:

NBA Hall of Famer Charles Barkley spoke candidly about the problems facing the black community when appearing on a Philadelphia radio station, accusing “unintelligent,” “brainwashed” African-Americans of keeping successful ones down.

While appearing on “Afternoons with Anthony Gargano and Rob Ellis,” Barkley was asked about a rumor that Seattle Seahawks QB Russell Wilson was getting criticism from his black teammates for not being, quote, “black enough.”

Barkley went on a long monologue on the subject: ”Unfortunately, as I tell my white friends, we as black people, we’re never going to be successful, not because of you white people, but because of other black people. When you’re black, you have to deal with so much crap in your life from other black people. It’s a dirty, dark secret; I’m glad it’s coming out.”

Barkley said that young black men who do well in school are accused of “acting white” by their peers. “One of the reasons we’re never going to be successful as a whole, because of other black people. And for some reason we are brainwashed to think, if you’re not a thug or an idiot, you’re not black enough. If you go to school, make good grades, speak intelligent, and don’t break the law, you’re not a good black person. And it’s a dirty, dark secret.”

“There are a lot of black people who are unintelligent, who don’t have success,” he continued. “It’s best to knock a successful black person down because they’re intelligent, they speak well, they do well in school, and they’re successful…”

“We’re the only ethnic group who say, ‘Hey, if you go to jail, it gives you street cred.’ It’s just typical BS that goes on when you’re black, man.”

He has some points and he’s not saying anything new…but isn’t this argument a little tired? We’re not “the only” group that does anything, and we’re not a monolith — and this sort of rhetoric certainly doesn’t serve to make change to anything.

Rihanna was greeted by over 3,000 fans who arrived at Macy’s Lenox Square on Saturday, October 25th, for her personal appearance where she promoted her first fragrance for men, ROGUE MAN.

Tonight on TV One at 10pm Shakir Stewart is featured on Celebrity Crime Files. Oakland native Shakir “Shake” Stewart rose to become Executive Vice President of rap powerhouse label Def Jam Records, discovering and signing multi-platinum rap superstars like Rick Ross and working with R&B divas Beyoncé and many others. Working closely with famed producer and executive LA Reid, Stewart seemed headed to the same heights, but the stress and dangers of the music business proved too much for him. His suicide shocked his peers, left his family devastated and a cloud of mystery surrounding his death.
