Zoe Saldana Expecting Twins With Husband Marco Perego

According to E!Online reports:

Zoe Saldana isn’t just pregnant—she’s pregnant with twins!

Multiple sources confirm to E! News exclusively that the 36-year-old Guardians of the Galaxy star is expecting two bundles of joy with her husband of one year, Italian artist Marco Perego. “She’s thrilled!” an insider says.

In 2012, Saldana said she hopes to have between two to five children—and now she’s well on her way!

The actress won’t have too much time to nest at home after she gives birth—as the leading lady in three movie franchises, she’ll be back on set before she knows it. She’s signed up for three Avatar sequels, but even she knows little about what to expect. “I’ve been told by [James Cameron] that it’ll be about an overall spiritual journey,” she says in The Hollywood Reporter’s Aug. 1 issue, “but I don’t have a script.”

As far as a third Star Trek movie is concerned, she says, “All I know is that the producers of Trek 3 called the producers of Avatar 2 to find out when Avatar will finish shooting.” Both will start shooting in 2015.

Congrats to Zoe and Marco! She seems like the kind of Hollyweird mom who will snap right back in shape and return to work immediately after popping out the kids.

Praswell Sued For Additional Child Support

Another day, another child support lawsuit. This one is aimed at Former Fugees member Pras Michael, better known as Praswell in his heyday. The mother of his toddler son says she and the baby live in a tiny, cramped NYC apartment while he drops millions on bi-coastal homes and takes lavish trips across the globe. Via PageSix:

The young son of former Fugees rapper Pras is living in a tiny fifth-floor walkup studio apartment, while the “Ghetto Superstar” enjoys the high life, taking a private jet to the World Cup and dropping $50,000 a month to rent luxury apartments on both coasts, the child’s mother testified in court Thursday.

The Grammy winner, whose real name is Pras Michel, is the father of 4-year-old Landon.

Michel’s only comment on the child-support dispute was to scream at a reporter, “Get the f—k out of my face,” before dashing out of the hearing.

Severiano, a singer-turned-consultant, testified in Manhattan Family Court that she lives in the cramped E. 91st apartment where Landon sleeps in a converted bedroom and she bunks down in the living room.

Michel, Severiano alleged, “has been fighting against his own son’s well being.”

The absentee dad is scheduled to testify in September about why he shouldn’t up child support from $3,000 to $7,000 a month so Severiano can move into a two-bedroom apartment.

He finally obeyed a court order Thursday to show up for the child support hearing after skipping the first appearance last month.

Meanwhile, Michel was posting pictures of himself on Facebook boarding a private jet with the comment, “#Flying #private here we come #Brazil #worldcup.”

The star, now a film producer, made over $1 million last year and plunks down five-figures for homes in Soho and Los Angeles, according to court papers.​

Underwear Bomber’s Plan Thwarted By Length Of Time He Wore Weapon

Someone was a little over-zealous about their mission. Via MailOnline:

The notorious underwear bomber’s plot in 2009 to blow up a plane on Christmas Day failed because the explosives became ‘degraded’ after he wore the same pair of underpants for two weeks, according to a U.S. official.

Nigerian Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab was on a suicide mission when he attempted to detonate a bomb in his underpants as the plane, en route from Amsterdam, approached Detroit.

The bomb however failed to detonate aboard the flight, which was carrying nearly 300 people, but caused a brief fire that caused burns to his groin.

He was sentenced to life without parole in February 2012 after he pleaded guilty to all charges on the second day of his trial the previous October.

The head of the Transportation Security Administration said this week the bomb failed to detonate because of how long Abdulmutallab had been wearing his underwear.

John Pistole told the Aspen Security Forum: ‘The bomber had had the device with him for over two weeks.’

Mr Pistole was then asked whether the bomb had become ‘damp’, to which he replied: ‘Let’s say it was degraded.’

During his trial, Abdulmutallab said the bomb in his underwear was a ‘blessed weapon’ to avenge poorly treated Muslims around the world.

After the bomb failed to detonate, passengers pounced on Abdulmutallab and forced him to the front of Northwest Airlines Flight 253 where he was held until the plane landed minutes later.

Well that’s what his dingy azz gets! He may not have downed the plane, but we’re sure he still managed to make the innocent passengers’ flight at least a bit uncomfortable by lighting his barely-washed butt cheeks up in smoke.

Phaedra Parks is the latest cast member rumored to be leaving The Real Housewives of Atlanta.

According to new reports, Parks will take a “leave of absence” from the seventh season of RHOA that will start immediately. Sources reveal that the star does not want all her personal problems [Apollo Nida] broadcast to the world, and has decided to leave so she can “focus more on her family following Apollo’s imprisonment.”

Parks allegedly plans on coming back for season eight but show insiders say Bravo producers are not sure that they’ll even allow her to come back.

McDonald’s Cook Arrested For Selling Drugs On The Job

Several Philly fiends patrons were getting the happeiest of meals in a local McDonald’s parking lot for the last few years, as everyone’s favorite fry cook was serving up narcotic treats with a side of supersized fries. Hey, you’ve got to keep more than one revenue stream. Via NBCPhiladelphia:

An undercover sting at a McDonald’s on suburban Philadelphia’s swanky Main Line has led to the arrest of a fast food employee who police say was selling crack at the restaurant.

Officers from Radnor Township Police went undercover four times over the past month at the burger joint located along the 500 block of West Lancaster Avenue in Wayne, Pennsylvania, right in the heart of the town’s business district.

Each time, police say they bought the illegal drugs from 29-year-old Allen Trammell, of Philadelphia, in the restaurant’s parking lot. A cook at the McDonald’s for the past two years, Trammell would leave the kitchen line to deal, officials said.

“When not working as a crew and preparing food, he was out in the rear parking lot selling crack cocaine so in a sense it can give you a new definition of what may be considered a Happy Meal,” Radnor Police Lt. Andy Block said.

Officers returned to the McDonald’s on Tuesday to arrest Trammell. Police say they found cash and 157 dime bags of crack cocaine packets on him at the time. Block said Trammell could have been grossing $1,500 a week from the illicit sales.

Trammell has been arraigned on $100,000 bail, which he was unable to post. He remains in the Delaware County Prison. Pennsylvania court records show the man has plead guilty to drug possession offenses in 2005.

All that time, management probably thought they stayed so busy due to service with a smile and superior fry-dunking skills. SMH.

When will Hollywood be ready to be as diverse and unconventional as their source material?

Marvel Comics Change Race And Genders Of Heroes, Films Will Remain The Same

Marvel announced some major shakeups in the genders and races of some of their most beloved comic-book heroes. A Female character pics up the hammer of Thor, and Falcon, a Black superhero, inherits the role of Captain America. But studio-heads want you to know that Marvel’s main heroes will be remaining lily-white and male for the foreseeable future. Via HuffPost:

Marvel announced last week that future comic books will feature a female Thor and black Captain America, but fans expecting to see those specific diversifications translate to the Marvel Cinematic Universe may be in for some disappointment. Speaking to HuffPost Entertainment during press rounds for the forthcoming film “Guardians of the Galaxy,” Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige said he didn’t anticipate the developments would affect anything the studio has planned on the theatrical front at the moment.

“I love when they change things up and move things along and do the unexpected,” Feige told HuffPost Entertainment about Marvel Comics. “That’s why these characters have endured for 50-plus years, and it gives us material to keep the movies fresh down the line. I’m not going to say any of those changes are going to happen any time soon in the movies, but the fact that they have happened — and, by the way, that’s happened before; there have been female Thors and black Captain Americas in the past — keeps it current and in the public eye.”

As it was revealed last week, Marvel Studios has plans for features through 2019, with 10 movies on the schedule, including “Marvel’s The Avengers: Age of Ultron,” “Ant-Man” and “Captain America 3.” Whether the studio branches out to bring superheroes such as Black Panther or Ms. Marvel to the big screen is unclear, but Feige is not without options.

“Listen, I mean, one of the nicknames of Marvel comics is ‘The House of Ideas,’” Feige said of the source material available to him. “Everything they do in publishing becomes possible material for us to turn into movies.”

Fair enough, actors sign contracts and you can’t just change at the drop of a hat…but we bet Anthony Mackie (who plays Falcon in the current Marvel film-universe) was a bit bummed to hear he won’t be putting on that All-American armor anytime soon.
